This page allows you to identify the part types for which the UDSS is applicable. Tell me more
Select “Part Type Mapping” link at the bottom of the “Edit Stock Status” page.
The “Part Type Mapping” screen appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the Enterprise Modeling business component by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Stock Status Details” group box:

Use the drop down list box to select the UDSS for which the part type mapping must be done. The system lists all the UDSS created in the “Create Stock Status” activity that are in the “Active” status. The system also lists the predefined stock statuses “Consignment", “Make WIP” and “PBH” in the drop-down list box. The system displays the option “Consignment” by default. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the description of the selected UDSS.
The system displays the following fields.
Stock Status Description |
The textual description pertaining to the selected UDSS. |
The system lists the predefined part types in the “Part Type Mapping Details” multiline.
Part Type |
The part types that are predefined in the system. You can map the UDSS to one or more of the following part types: |
Raw material, Component, Tool, Consumable, Kit, Miscellaneous and Expendable. |
Enter the following field to associate the UDSS to one or more part types listed in the multiline:

Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes” to map the part type to the UDSS. The options available are “Yes” and “No”. Set the field to “No” if you wish to revoke the mapping of the UDSS to the part type. |
Click the “Edit Part Type Mapping” pushbutton to update the part type mapping for the selected UDSS.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box.

The login ID of the user who mapped the part types to the UDSS. |
Created Date |
The date on which the part types were mapped to UDSS. |
Last Modified by |
The login ID of the user who last modified the part type mapping. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the part type mapping was last modified. |
Mapping part types to UDSS – An overview
This page allows you to identify the part types for which the UDSS is applicable. You can map part types only for UDSS that are in “Active” status. The various part types, ”Raw material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable” ,"Miscellaneous"and “Kit”, are predefined in the system. You can map the UDSS to one or more of these part types. You can also use this page to revoke the mapping of the UDSS to the part types.
The system stores the login user ID and the server date along with the other modified details.
You can map the UDSS to predefined part types. This identifies the part types for which the UDSS is applicable.
Select the UDSS to be mapped, in the “Stock Status” field.
The system lists the predefined part types in the multiline.
Set the “Mapping?” field to “Yes”, to map the part type to the UDSS.
