Select the “Edit Specific Serial #/ Lot # Details” link or “Edit Serial / Lot details for free Warehouses” link in the “Edit Inter Warehouse Stock Transfer” page to modify the serial number and lot number details for the parts with transfer type "Specific" or for parts with “Free Warehouse” respectively.
The “Edit Serial #/Lot # Details “ page appears.
Note: If the stock transfer is created based on a material request, the serial/lot details of the part, will be retrieved from the material request.
Note: You can modify the serial and lot details for a part of type “Component”, only if the “Stock Updation Mode” is set to “Manual” and the “Stock Transfer Type” of the part line item is set to “Specific” in the multiline.
Note: You can modify the serial and lot number details for free warehouse, only if the “Stock Updation Mode” is “Automatic” and the from and to warehouses of the part line item is “Free”
The system displays the following in the “Stock Transfer Information” group box:

Enter the following:
Line # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the stock transfer, which contains the part or the component for which you wish to enter the serial or lot number details. |
Note: If the page is invoked from the “Edit Specific Serial # / Lot # Details” link, the system displays all the line number with serial or/and lot controlled parts, with the “Stock Updation Mode” set as “Manual” and the “Stock Transfer Type” set as “Specific” in the main page.
Note: If the page is invoked from the “Edit Serial # / Lot # Details” link, then the system displays all the line number which has the part which are serial or/ and lot number controlled, with the “Stock Updation Mode” set as “Automatic” and the from and to warehouse as “Free” in the main page.

Enter the following in the “Storage Information” multiline:
Lot # |
A unique number identifying the lot number of the part (Alphanumeric, 40). Ensure that the part type is set as “Component” and is lot number-controlled, as defined in the “Create Part Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. |
If “From Warehouse #” is “Free” and the component is lot number-controlled, the lot number must exist in the specified “From Warehouse #”. |

A unique number identifying the serial number of the part (Alphanumeric, 40). If “From Warehouse #” is “Free” and the component is serial number-controlled, the serial number must exist in the specified “From Warehouse #”. |

Note: The lot number details must be entered, if the part is lot number controlled. Also, the serial number details must be entered if the part is serial number controlled or lot and serial number controlled. |

Quantity |
The quantity of the stock transferred (Decimal). It is mandatory to enter the value if the component is lot number-controlled. Ensure that the total quantity must not exceed the “Transfer Quantity”. The quantity must be positive and greater than zero. |
Note: Fractions can be entered, only if the UOM has been set as “Allow fractions” in the “Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component.

Note: Ensure that the serial number of a component is not repeated in the multiline.
Only if the component is both Lot # and Serial # number-controlled is the duplication of the Lot # allowed.
Check the box beside the “Convert Document Status To Fresh”, to change the status of the document from “Draft” to “Fresh”.
Note: In case the “Convert Document Status To Fresh” box is checked, and the mandatory information is not updated, the status of the document will not be updated from “Draft” to “Fresh”.
The system updates the status of the stock transfer document from “Draft” to “Fresh”, only if the “Convert Document Status to Fresh” box is checked and all the mandatory information is entered.
Click the “Edit Serial # / Lot # Details” pushbutton, to update the components that are serial number-controlled and lot number-controlled.

Entering the serial number and lot number details – An overview
This page allows you to enter the serial number and lot number details of a part of type “Component” or for a part with from and to warehouse of type “Free” based on the line number selected. You can also enter the serial number and lot number details for parts of type other than “Component”, if the inter warehouse stock transfer for the parts is created based on a material request.
You can enter the serial and lot number details of a part of type “Component”, only if the stock updation mode is “Manual” and the stock transfer type for the part in the line item is “Specific”.
You can enter the serial and lot number details for free warehouse, only if the stock updation mode is “Automatic” and the to and from warehouse is “Free”.

Define serial number and lot number details
You can enter a suitable serial number and lot number for a part with "Specific" transfer type or for “Free” warehouses based on the line number selected. This number enables you to identify the manufacturer in the supply chain.
In the “Line #” field, select the line number of the stock transfer, which contains the part for which you wish to enter the serial or lot number details. If the page is invoked from the “Edit Specific Serial #/ Lot # Details” link, the system lists all the “Line #” with stock updation mode as “Manual” and the stock transfer type as “Specific”.
If this page is invoked from “Edit Serial /Lot Details for free warehouses” link, the system lists all the “Line #”, with the stock updation mode as “Automatic” and the from and to warehouse as “Free”.
Set the status of the stock transfer as “Fresh”
You can change the status of the stock transfer from “Draft” to “Fresh”, so that you can send the document for confirmation.
Check the “Convert Document Status to Fresh” box below the multiline, to assign the “Fresh” status to the inter warehouse stock transfer. .
