This section dwells on the Technical Records business component and its activity Fleet Overview.

Fleet Overview - A summary of the activity

This activity provides comprehensive information on the entire fleet of aircraft in an organization (unit). A swift glimpse of the fleet status is presented to the user that aims to kick start the aircraft maintenance planning and execution process for the session / day.

Users can precisely locate, find and then pick an aircraft from among the entire fleet to execute maintenance.

Designed to speed up the work of AME and inventory planners, managing aircraft records and discrepancies can be accomplished from this activity with nil traversal to the Aircraft component.

Inquiring aircraft fleet

Ø  Select the “Fleet Overview” activity under the “Technical Records” business component.

The “Fleet Overview” page appears.

At the onset, the page displays the following details of the entire aircraft in the OU:

All

The number of aircraft defined in the Aircraft component.

Click here to display all records in the “Technical Record” multiline.

Ø  Select the tile card and then specify one or more of the following in the “Search On” input box to retrieve aircraft of your choice in the “Technical Record” multiline.

4   Aircraft Reg. #

4   Model #

4   Customer #

4   Aircraft Group

4   Maint. Base

Ø  To retrieve only those aircraft in the “Inactive” status, select the “Include Inactive Aircrafts” check box.

Ø  Click the “Search” pushbutton.

The “Technical Record” multiline displays the following attributes of those aircraft from the tile card that match the selection criteria you have specified in the “Search On” input box. However, in the beginning on access to the page, the multiline displays all aircraft records existing in the OU.

Model #

The model of the aircraft.

Aircraft Reg. #

The tail or registration # of the aircraft

MSN #

The manufacturing serial number of the aircraft.

Condition

The condition of the aircraft, such as Serviceable, New, Phased Out or Unserviceable.

Latest JL Date

The date on which the last journey log was recorded for the aircraft.

Triggering Parameter

The parameter that prompts the maintenance of the aircraft.

Due Value

The value of the triggering parameter at which the aircraft becomes due for maintenance.

Remaining Value

The value of the triggering parameter yet to-be elapsed before which the post which the aircraft becomes

Earliest Due Task  Discrepancy

The task / discrepancy that that must be executed earliest on the aircraft.

Open Def. Count

The number of discrepancies not yet closed completed for the aircraft.

Record Status

The status of the aircraft record, such as “Under Creation”, “Active” or “Inactive”.

Aircraft Status

The status of the aircraft status, such as Active or Inactive.

Config. Status

The configuration status of the aircraft, such as Defined

Assy. Status

The configuration assembly status of the aircraft, such as

Prog. Status

The maintenance program status of the aircraft, which indicates whether maintenance program for the aircraft has been defined yet.

Open Package

The number of packages against the aircraft that are not yet closed or completed.

Open EO

The number of engineering documents against the aircraft that have been

Aircraft Details section

Ø  Click the icon for the aircraft in the multiline to display aircraft details on the right top of the page as the next image shows.

Ø  By default, the details of the first aircraft in the multiline are displayed in the Aircraft Details” section.

Ø  Click on the “Aircraft Reg. #” data hyperlink to open the “View Aircraft Record” page.

Technical Records details section

Ø  Click the icon to display the technical records information on the aircraft selected in the multiline on the lower right of the page as the next image shows.

Creating aircraft

Ø  Click the “Create Aircraft Record” pushbutton to create aircraft (without navigating to the Aircraft component).

Ø  Select the “Edit Aircraft Record” link to modify details of the aircraft record you selected in the multiline.
