Mapping TCD Codes

A TCD can be mapped to other relevant TCD codes. Tell me more.

Select the “Map TCD Codes” link in the “Select TCD Codes” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked TCD number in the multiline of the same page.

The “Map TCD Codes” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “TCD Info” group box:

TCD #

The TCD to which other TCD codes must be mapped.

Status	The status of the TCD.
TCD Type	The type of the TCD, which could be “Tax”, “Charge” or “Discount”.
TCD Description	The description of the TCD.
Effective From	The date starting from which the TCD is effective.
Basis	The basis of TCD computation. The system displays “Percentage”, as TCD mapping is not applicable for “Unit Rate” and “Flat”.
TCD Category	The category to which the TCD belongs.
Effective To	The date until which the TCD is effective.

Enter the following in the “TCD Details” multiline, to map other TCD codes to the TCD:

TCD #	The code identifying the TCD to be mapped.
	Help facility available.

Note: A TCD code cannot be mapped to itself. Further, the TCD “Effective From” date must be prior or equal to the current date. The TCD “Effective To” date must be later than or equal to the current date.

The system displays the following:

TCD Description	The textual description of the mapped TCD.
TCD Type	The type of the mapped TCD.
TCD Basis	The basis of TCD computation.
Status	The status of the mapped TCD.

Note: A TCD can be mapped to multiple TCD codes.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the TCD number for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the TCD number selected in the multiline.
Click the “Map TCD Codes” pushbutton to map the TCD codes entered in the multiline.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By	The name of the user that defined the TCD code mapping.
Created Date	The date on which the TCD code mapping is created.
Last Modified By	The name of the user who last modified the TCD code mapping.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the TCD code mapping was last modified.

Mapping TCD codes – An Overview

A TCD can be mapped to other relevant TCD codes. For example, TCD surcharge is usually applicable on total taxes calculated so far. The mapping facility allows you to map the ‘Surcharge’ TCD to ‘Total taxes’ TCD.

You can map multiple TCD codes to a single TCD.
