Mapping parts to repair services
In this page, you can map parts to the repair services.
Select the “Map Parts to Services” link at the bottom of the “Map Repair Services” page.
The “Map Parts to Repair Services” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed, in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Repair Shop Info” group box:
Repair Shop # |
The number that identifies the supplier who is identified as a repair shop. |
Repair Shop |
The name of the repair shop. |
SPEC 2000 Code |
The manufacturer code of the supplier, such as CAGE # and NSCM #, given by an external regulatory authority. |
SITA / ARINC |
The code that identifies the supplier when using the SITA / ARINC form of communication. |
Enter the following field in the “Service Information” group box:
Repair Process Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the repair process code. The system displays all the repair process codes that are mapped to the selected supplier. |
The system displays the following field:
Process Description |
The textual description of the repair process. The system displays this field when you click the “Get Details” pushbutton. |
Enter the following field:
Certificate Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of certificate issued to the repair shop. The system lists all the certificate types that are mapped to the selected supplier. |
The system displays the following field:
Certificate # |
The number that identifies the type of certificate. The system displays this field when you click the “Get Details” pushbutton. |
Enter the following field:
Issued By |
Use the drop-down list box to select the authority that certified the supplier. The system lists all the certifying authorities that have certified the supplier. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton, to retrieve the part details. The system displays all the parts that are mapped to the repair process, certificate type and certified authority
Issue Date |
The date on which the certification is issued (Date Format). Ensure this date is lesser than the current server date, starting and ending effective date. |
The system displays the following fields:
Effective From |
The starting date from which the certification is valid. |
Effective To |
The ending date until which the certification is valid. |
Enter the following fields in the “Part Details” multiline:
Part # |
The number that identifies the part mapped to the repair process (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Ensure that this is a valid part number as defined in the “Create Main Parts Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component and is in the “Active” status and of type “Component”. Help facility available. |
The part must be unique to the multiline.
The system displays the following:
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Enter the following fields:
Standard Cost |
The cost involved in performing the repair services on the part (Decimal). Mandatory. The standard cost must be greater than zero. |
The system displays the following:
Currency |
The currency in which the supplier transacts. |
Enter the following:
Average Lead Time |
The time taken to perform the repair service on the part (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. Ensure that this number is greater than zero. |
Lead Time Units |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement for the lead time. The system displays “Days”, “Weeks” and “Months” as options. The system sets the field blank by default. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the parts for deletion.
Click the “Delete” icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the selected parts from the repair service.
Click the “Map Parts to Services” pushbutton, to map the parts to the repair service.
