This page allows you to define and update the storage location in a station.
Select the “Maintain Storage Location” link under the “Storage Administration” business component.
The “Maintain Storage Location” page appears.
The system displays the following:

Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the Enterprise Modeling business component by default. |
Enter the following in the “Storage Location Information” multiline:

Storage Location |
The code defined under a station to which multiple warehouses can be mapped. Mandatory. The parts are stored in a warehouse. This field is mandatory if the Description or Station fields are entered. The system ensures that the storage location entered is unique. Note: You cannot modify the storage location once created. |

Description |
The textual description of the storage location. Mandatory. This field is mandatory if the Storage Location or Station fields are entered. |

Station |
The code identifying the station which has many storage locations under it. Mandatory. This field is mandatory if the Storage Location or Description fields are entered. The system ensures that the station entered is a valid station as defined in the “Common Master” business component. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the storage location. The system lists the options "Active" and “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default. Note: You can change the status to “Inactive”, only if either there is no warehouse mapped to the particular storage location, or if all the warehouses mapped to the storage location are in “Inactive” status. |
The system displays the following details in the “Storage Location Information” multiline:

Created By |
The code identifying the user who defined the details of the storage location. |

Created Date |
The date and time on which the storage location details were defined. |
|
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the details of the storage location. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the storage location details were last modified. |
Note: At least one record must be selected in the multiline
Click the the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the storage location selected in the multiline.
Note: You can only delete the unsaved data.
Click the“Maintain Storage Location” pushbutton to define and update the storage location details.
