This activity enables you to create quick codes for a quick code type.
Select the “Maintain Quick Codes” link under the “Shop Work Order” business component.
The “Maintain Quick Codes” page appears.
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. If the format is not defined, the system will display the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of quick code for the shop work order that you want to maintain.
By default the system leaves the field blank. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the quick code to be created / modified. The system lists the options: “Active” and “Inactive. The system retrieves all the quick codes of the status specified here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the quick codes irrespective of their status. By default the system leaves the field blank. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search details.
Enter the following fields in the “Quick Code Details” multiline:

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of quick code that you want to create / modify. The system lists the options:
By default the system displays “User Status”. |
Quick Code |
This can be a combination of characters and digits and should not be left blank. Ensure that the quick code is unique for the organizational unit. |
Description |
A textual description of the quick code. This field should not be left blank. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the quick code. The system lists the following options:
Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to disable this quick code from future reference in other activities. The system displays “Active” by default. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the quick code for deletion.
The system displays the following in the multiline:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the quick code. |
Created Date |
The date on which the quick code was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the quick code. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the quick code was last modified. |
Select at least one record in the multiline.
Note: The system displays an error message, if any concurrent user tries to modify the details in the multiline.
Click the “Maintain Quick Codes” pushbutton to create and save the modifications made to the quick code.
Note that quick codes can be created either in “Active” or “Inactive” status.
You cannot create / modify quick codes of Quick Code Type “In-Direct Category”, if SIM interaction exists between the “Time Management” and “Shop Work Order” business components.
Note: Since Time booking is managed by “Time Management” business component, quick codes can be created / modified only in the “Time Management Master” business component.
