This page allows you to search and retrieve the details of a task associated to a shop work order. With the help of display options you can view details at SWO level or SWO at task level.

You can carry out the search using the SWO number, parent SWO number work center number, Task number, work order status, Assign Emp # / Name. Additionally, you can also carryout search using various attributes like part number, serial number, component number and discrepancy number.

The system retrieves all the SWO numbers and tasks associated to the shop work order based on the search criteria entered. On confirmation, the selected task number is transferred to the required page.

The “Help On Shop Work Order - Task #” page appears.

Display Option

Use the drop-down list box to select the option for displaying the shop work orders or shop work orders along with the tasks in the multiline. The system lists the following values:

§         By SWO # - Select this option if you wish to retrieve shop work order details.

§         By Task # - Select this option to if you wish to retrieve details relating to the tasks in the shop work order.

The system displays “By SWO #” by default.

Search By

Use the drop-down list box to specify the basis on which you wish to make the search. The system lists the following options:

§         SWO # - Select this option if you wish to retrieve task details of SWO number.

§     Parent SWO # - Select this option if you wish to retrieve work order / task details of a parent SWO number and its corresponding child SWO #.

The system displays “SWO #” by default.

 

In the editable box alongside, enter the number corresponding to the SWO # / Parent SWO # selected for which you wish to retrieve the details. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system retrieves all the tasks applicable to the number specified here.

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center, which is responsible for the SWO execution. The system lists all the active work centers that are associated with the login organizational unit. The system retrieves the SWO number of the work center specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the SWOs irrespective of their work centers. 

By default, the system leaves this field blank.

Task # / Desc.

The task number that is associated to the shop work order

 

In the editable box alongside, enter the description of the task for which you wish to retrieve the details. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system lists all the tasks / descriptions that are similar to the description entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the task associated to the SWO. The system provides the options “Fresh”, “Planned”, “In-progress”, “Completed” and “Planned & In-Progress”. The system retrieves work order / task level status as specified here.

The system displays “Planned & In-Progress” by default.

Note that the system defaults “Completed & Closed” in this field if:

  •  SWO # is selected as the “Display Option”

  •   The help icon is launched from “Initiate Exchange / Swaps” page

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to specify the work center in which the task is executed. The system lists all the ‘Active” work centers with ‘Work Center Class’ set as “Execution” and ‘Execution Capability’ set as “Shop” or “All” in “Work Center” business component. The login user must have access privileges to the work center specified.

Assign. Emp # / Name

The employee number to whom the task was assigned.

 

In the editable box alongside, enter the name of the employee to whom the task was assigned. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system lists all the assigned employee numbers / names that are similar to the description entered here.

Addl. Search On

Use the drop-down list box to select one of the following based on which you wish to retrieve the task number.

  • Job Type - Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on the job type of a shop work order. You can select various job types such as "Engine", “Component”, “Piece Part”, “Make”, “Facility”, “Project” and “Miscellaneous”. 

  • Maintenance Type - Select this option if you want to retrieve tasks based on the maintenance type of the shop work order. The system lists various maintenance types such as “Overhaul”, “Repair”, “Inspection”, “Retire” and “Others”.

  • Exec. Category – Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on the execution category to which the task belongs. The system lists all the “active” quick codes from the “Maintain Quick Code” activity of the current business component which are of type “Exec. Category”.

  • SWO Status - Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on the status of the shop work order. You can select from the options "Draft",  “Fresh", "Planned", "In-Progress",  "Completed", "Cancelled", "Closed", "Pre-Closed" and "Ext. Routed".

  • User Status – Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on the user status of the SWO. The system lists all the “active” quick codes of type “User Status” defined in the “Maintain Quick Code” activity of the current business component.

  •  Estimation Status – Select this option if you want to retrieve tasks based on their estimation status. You can select from the options “Not Required”, "Pending Estimates", “Pending Confirmation” or “Confirmed”.

  • Exec. Phase – Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on the execution phase to which they belong. You can select from the options “Preparatory”, “Regular” & “Post Flight”. Along with this the system also lists all the “active’ quick codes of type “Execution Phase” as defined in Task Master.

  •  Repair Basis – Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on the repair basis to which they belong. You have the option to select from "OEM","MRO Specific", and “Operator Specific".

  • Repair Classification – Select this option if you want to retrieve tasks based on their repair classification. The system lists all the “active” quick codes from the “Maintenance Task” business component. Evaluated? -  Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on whether they are evaluated for the stage they belong to. You can select from the options "Preliminary" and "Final".

  • Evaluated? -  Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on whether they are evaluated for the stage they belong to. You can select from the options "Preliminary" and "Final".

  • Routing Reqd.  -  Select this option if you want to retrieve tasks based on whether routing is required or not. You can select from either “Yes” or “No”.

  • Pending Main Core Return – Select this option if you wish to retrieve tasks based on shop work orders that have main core pending for return.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

Note that the system displays “Pending Main Core Return” by default and displays “Yes” in the field alongside if:

  •  SWO # is selected as the “Display Option”

  •   The help icon is launched from “Initiate Exchange / Swaps” page

 

In the drop-down list box provided alongside, select the options corresponding to the item selected in the “Addl. Search On” drop-down list box.

Addl. Attributes

The additional attributes by which you wish to perform the search. The system list the following options:

  •  Part # / Serial #

  •  Component #

  •  Parent Task #

  •  Parent Task Desc.

  •  Discrepancy #

  •  Discrepancy Desc

  •  Event #

  • Customer Order #

  •  Customer #

 

In the editable boxes alongside, enter the number or description corresponding to the attribute selected. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system lists all the attributes whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.

Note: Leave all the fields blank; to retrieve all the part numbers available in the database.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.

Note: The system displays only related columns, based on the “Display Option” selected in the “Search Criteria” group box:  

SWO #

The shop work order number.

Seq #

The repair sequence that is employed for task execution.

Task #

The task associated to the shop work order.

Repair Process Code

 The code that identifies the repair process.

Part #

The part number pertaining to the shop work order.

Mfr. Part #

The part number issued by the manufacturer of the part associated to the shop work order.

Mfr. #

The manufacturer number of the Mfr. Part associated to the shop work order.

Serial #

The serial number of the component against which the shop work order is raised.

Job Type

The job type of the shop work order.

Work Center #

The work center in which the task is executed.

Task Category

The category to which the task belongs.

SWO Status

The status of the SWO for which you wish to retrieve the tasks

Task Status

The status of the task for which you wish to retrieve details.

User Status

The user-defined status of the shop work order.

Estimation Status

The estimation status of the task indicating parts and resources for the task has been updated.  The possible statuses can be “Not Required”, "Pending Estimates", “Pending Confirmation”, “Confirmed”, “Released Estimates” or “Re-estimates Required”

Exec. Phase

The stage at which the task is required to be performed.

Repair Basis

The basis in which repair is to be carried out on the particular component.  The possible basis could be OEM, MRO specific or Operator specific.

Workscoping Status

The stage reflecting the completion of workscoping. The stages could be “Preliminary” or “Final”.

Routing Req. ?

Indicates whether the part is to be sent to another work center (or repair agency) after the task is performed in the current work center.

Repair Classification

Indicates the kind of repair to be performed on the part eg.  Full Repair or Partial Repair, etc

Hold Status

Indicates the Transient status of a particular Task. The possible values are “Blank” and “On Hold”

Note : For example, if a particular Task is put on hold , then the Transient Status would be “On Hold”

Task Desc.

The textual description of the task associated to the shop work order.

Parent Task #

The parent task number of a particular task

Parent Task Desc.

The textual description of the parent task associated a particular task.

Parent SWO #

The parent shop work order number.

Root SWO #

The code identifying the root work order.

Customer Order #

The unique code identifying the customer order.

Customer #

The unique code identifying the customer

Customer Name

The name of the customer.

Mod Status

The modified part number (dash number) or the status of the engineering document due to which the part number has been changed.

Mfg. Date

The date of manufacture of the part.

Present FH

The current number of hours recorded on the engine / component.

Present FC

The current number of flight cycles recorded on the engine / component.

Lot #

The lot number of the main core part.

Mfg. Lot #

The lot number that is to be manufactured.

Mfg. Serial #

The serial number that is to be manufactured.

Facility Object #

The code identifying the facility object. A facility object refers to a facility that is already defined in the Work Center business component or a part that is already defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Facility #

The code identifying the facility. A facility is a tool or equipment used to execute maintenance jobs on aircraft and aircraft-related components.

Qty.

The quantity of the part.

Multiple Cores?

Indicates whether multiple parts are associated to the same work order. The system displays the options “Yes” or “No”.
