Setting options for Aircraft Maintenance Planning

Select the “Set Options” link under the “Aircraft Maintenance Planning” business component.

The “Set Options” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component.

Enter the following fields in the “Planning Options” group box:

Enforce Sub Fleet/ Planner Group Security

Use the drop-down list box to select the access preferences to sub-fleets and planner groups. This option defines whether all the pre-defined sub fleets and planner groups or only those to which the login user has access, must appear in the “Planning Element” drop-down list box. The system lists the following options:

Yes – Select this option to display in the ‘Planning Element’ drop- down list box only those sub fleets / planner groups to which access is provided for the login user.
No – Select this option to display in the ‘Planning Element’ drop down list box all the sub fleets/ planner groups without checking for the user access rights.

Time Zone Reference for Aircraft Planning

Use the drop-down list box to select the time zone reference for aircraft planning. The system displays the following options:

“Local” – Select this option, if the local time of the server must be considered for planning.
“UTC” – Select this option, if the “Time Zone for UTC” set in the “Set Options” activity of the “Flight Log” business component must be considered for planning.

The system retrieves the previously saved value, if any. Otherwise, it displays “Local” by default.

Default Horizon (Hrs) for Line Planning

The default duration for line planning. Ensure that a positive integer is entered here.

Specify the following in the "Resource Loading Options" group box.

Short Term Horizon (Days)	The number of days that constitute short term duration for work center loading computation. By default, this option is set to 1.
Long Term Horizon (Days)	The number of days that constitute long term duration for work center loading computation. By default, this option is set to 1.
Review Unit for Short Term	Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of time for review of work center load during short term. The drop-down list displays the following: Hours and Days By default, this option is set to Hours.
Review Unit for Long Term	Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of time for review of work center load during long term. The drop-down list displays the following: Days, Weeks and Months. By default, this option is set to Days.
Compute Load based on	Use the drop-down list box to select the basis for estimating work load of a work center. The drop-down list displays the following: Resource Availability and Task Planned Dates. By default, this option is set to Task Planned Date.

Click the “Set Options” pushbutton to set the options.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who last modified the option settings.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the option settings were last modified.
