Generating Technical Log Reports
In this activity, you can generate technical log reports
Select the “Generate Technical Log Reports” link under the “Field Maintenance Reports” business component.
The “Select Technical Log” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields appear in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for technical logs for which the report has to be generated. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft for which technical log report has to be generated (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the technical logs associated to the aircraft registration number entered here. |
Aircraft Model # |
The model to which the aircraft belongs (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the technical logs associated to the aircraft model number entered here. |
Journey Log # |
The number identifying the journey log for which the report must be generated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the journey log number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. Ensure that the journey log entered is in confirmed status only. The system retrieves the technical logs associated to the journey log specified here. |
Tech Log # |
The number identifying the technical log for which the report must be generated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the technical log number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. |
Tech Log Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the technical log belongs. The system lists all the values defined for the quick code type “Tech Log Category” in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. Leave this field blank to retrieve technical logs irrespective of the category. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list to select the user-defined status for the technical log. The system lists all the options “FAR–135” and “FAR–145”. Leave this field blank to retrieve technical logs irrespective of the user status. |
From Station |
Enter the station from where the journey started. Ensure that the station is an active station defined in the “Create Station” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. |
To Station |
Enter the destination station of the flight. Ensure that the stations is an active station defined in the “Create Station“ activity of the “Common Masters” business component. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system retrieves only those technical logs, which are in “Confirmed” status, as defined in the “Flight Log” business component.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft for which technical log report has to be generated. |
Aircraft Model # |
The model number of the aircraft for which technical log report has to be generated. |
Journey Log # |
The number identifying the journey log. |
Leg # |
The number identifying the leg of the flight. |
Tech Log Category |
The category to which the technical log belongs. |
User Status |
The user-defined status for the technical log. |
From Station |
The station where the journey started. |
To Station |
The destination station. |
Check the box in the multiline, to mark the technical log for which the report has to be generated.
Note: Ensure that at least one technical log is selected in the multiline.
Enter the following field in the “Report Options” group box:
Report Action |
Use the drop-down list box to select the report action. The system lists the following options:
By default, the system displays the option selected in the “Default Report Action” field in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component. |
Check one or more of the following boxes to specify the details to be included in the report:

Select the “Generate Technical Log Reports” link to generate a report for the technical log selected in the multiline.
