Generating Part Modification Report
This report provides details on modifications, done on the selected part.
Select the “Generate Part Modification Report” link under the “Inventory Setup Reports” business component.
The “Generate Part Modification Report” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the date format is not defined, the system displays the Organization level format. |
Enter the following in the “Report Criteria” group box:
From Created Date |
The starting date, in the range of dates, for which the report is to be generated (Date format). |
To Created Date |
The ending date, in the range of dates, for which the report is to be generated (Date format). |
Note: Ensure that the "From Created Date" is less than or equal to "To Created Date".
From Part # |
The starting number, in the range of part numbers, for which the report is to be generated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. |
To Part # |
The ending number, in the range of part numbers, for which the report is to be generated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. |
Note: Ensure that the "From Part #" is less than or equal to "To Part #".
From Base Part # |
The starting number, in the range of base part numbers, for which the report is to be generated (Alphanumeric, 40). The base part number helps in keeping track of changes of a given part number due to engineering modifications made without altering the initial part number. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. |
To Base Part # |
The ending number, in the range of base part numbers, for which the report is to be generated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. |
From Previous Part # |
The starting number of the part that was previously attached to the same position code (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. |
To Previous Part # |
The ending number of the part that was previously attached to the same position code (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. |
Note: Ensure that the "From Previous Part #" is less than or equal to "To Previous Part #".
Location |
Use the drop-down list box to select location to which the part belongs. |
Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of part as "Component", "Expendable”, "Kit”, "Consumable”, "Tool", "Raw Material” or “Miscellaneous”. Leave this field blank to generate the part modification report irrespective of the part type. |
Enter the following in the “Report Options” group box:

Use the drop-down list box to select the report action. The system lists the following options: |

Sort By
|
Use the drop-down list box to select the field by which the report must be sorted. The report can be sorted based on "Base Part #", "Part #", "Previous Part #", "Location", "Part Type" or "Created Date”. |
Click the “Generate Part Modification Report” link to generate the part modification report.
