Using Online Help

  Select the “Generate Maintenance Report Summary” link in the “Discrepancy Management Reports” business component.

The “View Maintenance Report Summary” page appears.

The system displays the following fields:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

  Enter the following fields in the “Search criteria” group box:

Maint. Report #

The number identifying the maintenance report that must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves maintenance reports, which are in “Fresh” or “Pending” status, with number similar to the value entered here.

Maint. Report Description

The textual description of the maintenance report (Alphanumeric, 255). The system retrieves maintenance reports that contain the description entered here.

Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to select the applicability of the discrepancy. The system displays the following options:

“Aircraft” – Select this option to retrieve maintenance reports for discrepancies that are applicable to aircraft.

“Component” – Select this option to retrieve maintenance reports for discrepancies that are applicable to component.

By default, the system leaves this field blank.

ATA#

The ATA chapter on which discrepancy has been reported (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves maintenance reports for all the discrepancies reported for the ATA chapter entered here.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft on which the discrepancy has been reported. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves maintenance reports for all discrepancies reported for the aircraft registration number entered here.

Component #

The number of the component on which the discrepancy has been reported. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves maintenance reports for all discrepancies reported for the component number entered here.

Record Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the discrepancy. The system displays the following options:

  •  “Pending” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies with record status “Pending”.

  • “Pending Deferral” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies with record status “Pending Deferral”.

  • “Deferred” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies with record status is “Deferred”.

  • "Transferred” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies with record status “Transferred”.

  • “No Fault Found” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies with record status “No fault found”.

  •  “Planned” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies with record status “Planned”.

  • “Closed” - Select this option to retrieve discrepancies with record status “closed”.

  • “Retired” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies with record status “Retired”.

Leave this field blank to retrieve maintenance reports for all the discrepancies, irrespective of their record status.

Processing Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the processing status of the discrepancy, which can be “None”, “Under Analysis” or “Analyzed”. The system generates maintenance report summary for the discrepancy based on the option selected in this field.

Discrepancy#

The number identifying the discrepancy for which the maintenance report is generated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancy numbers similar to the value entered here and which are in “Pending” or “Fresh” status.

Discrepancy

The discrepancy description (Alphanumeric, 255). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all discrepancies with description similar to the value entered here.

Source Doc Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of source document that reported the discrepancy. The system lists the following options:

  • Visit Package – Select this option if you want to generate maintenance report summary for discrepancies reported in the “Visit Package” business component.

  • Hangar Work Order - Select this option if you want to generate maintenance report summary for discrepancies reported in Hangar Work Order.

  •  Journey Log - Select this option if you want to generate maintenance report summary for discrepancies reported in the Journey Log of the “Flight Log” business component.

  • Technical Log - Select this option if you want to generate maintenance report summary for discrepancies reported in the Technical Log of the “Flight Log” business component.

  • Component Work Order - Select this option if you want to generate maintenance report summary for discrepancies reported in Component Work Order.

Leave this field blank, to generate maintenance report summary for discrepancies irrespective of the source document type.

Source Document#

The number identifying the source document in which the discrepancies have been reported (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all maintenance report summary for discrepancies reported in the source document specified here.

Part#

The part number of the component on which a discrepancy has been reported (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves maintenance report summary for all the discrepancies that have been reported for the part number entered here.

Part Serial#

The serial number of the part on which a discrepancy has been reported (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves maintenance report summary for all discrepancies that have been reported for the part serial number entered here.

  Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Applicability

Indicates whether the maintenance report is applicable for aircraft or component.

Aircraft Reg#

The registration number of the aircraft on which the maintenance report has been raised.

Component#

The component number on which the discrepancy has been reported.

Part#

The part number on which a discrepancy has been reported.

Part Serial#

The serial number of the part on which a discrepancy has been reported.

Maint.Report#

The number of the maintenance report that has been raised for the aircraft.

Maint.Report Description

The textual description of the maintenance report.

Maint.Report Class

The class to which the maintenance report belongs.

Record Status

The status of the discrepancy, which can be “Pending", "Pending deferral, “Deferred”, “Transferred”, “No fault found”, ”Closed”, “Retired”, or “Planned”,

Processing Status

The processing status of the discrepancy, which can be “None”, “Under Analysis” or “Analyzed”.

Tracking status

The user-defined tracking status defined for the discrepancy.

ATA#

The ATA chapter on which discrepancy has been reported.

Fault#

The fault code defined in the “Fault Isolation Manual” business component that is applicable to the discrepancy reported.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document in which the discrepancy was reported, which can be “Visit package”, “Hangar Work Order”, “Journey Log”, “Technical Log” or “Component Work Order”.

Source Document#

The number of the source document in which the discrepancy was reported.

Aircraft Model #

The model number of the aircraft on which the maintenance report has been raised.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

File Name

The name of the reference document corresponding to the discrepancy.

  Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the row for generating the Maintenance Report Summary.

  Enter the following field in the” Report Options” group box:

Report Action

Use the drop-down list box to select the report action. The system lists the following options:

  •  Print – Select this option to print the report.

  •  View Report – Select this option to view the report.

  Select the Deferral Report check box to include the “Deferral Report” Sub report.

Select the Resolution Procedure check box to include the “Resolution Procedure” Sub report.

  Select the “Generate Maintenance Report Summary” link to generate the maintenance report summary.
