Using Online Help

  Select the “Generate Discrepancy Resolution Analysis Report” link under the “Discrepancy Management Reports” business component.

The “Generate Discrepancy Resolution Analysis Report” page appears. 

Date Format

The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for discrepancies. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Maint Report #

The number of the maintenance report that has been raised for the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system generates a discrepancy resolution analysis report for the maintenance report entered here.

Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to select the applicability of the maintenance report. The system provides the following options:

  • Aircraft – Select this option to retrieve maintenance reports that are applicable to “Aircraft” and with processing status as “Analyzed”.

  • Component – Select this option to retrieve maintenance reports that are applicable to “Component” and having processing status as “Analyzed”.

By default, the system leaves this field blank.

Record Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the record status of the maintenance report having processing status as “Analyzed”. The system lists the following options:

  • "Pending” - Select this option to generate the report for maintenance report with record status as “Pending”.

  • Pending Deferral” - Select this option to generate the report for maintenance report with record status as “Pending Deferral”. This means the maintenance report has been deferred but not yet been confirmed.

  • “Closed” - Select this option to generate the report for maintenance report with record status as “Closed”. This means the maintenance report is closed after the discrepancies in the report have been resolved by executing work units.

  •  “Deferred” - Select this option to generate the report for maintenance report with record status as “Deferred”. This means the maintenance report is deferred and the deferral is confirmed.

  • “Retired” - Select this option to generate the report for maintenance report with record status as “Retired”. This means the discrepancies in the maintenance report are retired.

  • “Transferred”- Select this option to generate the report for maintenance report with record status as “Transferred”. This means the maintenance report is transferred from one component to another.

  • “Planned”- Select this option to generate the report for maintenance report with record status as “Planned”. This means a discrepancy or maintenance report is included in a planning document like Visit Package or Line Package, that is, the resolution is planned.

  • “No Fault Found” - Select this option to generate the report for maintenance report with record status as “No Fault Found”. This means the action specified for the maintenance report is “No fault found”.

If you leave this field blank, the system retrieves all the maintenance reports having processing status as “Analyzed”, irrespective of the record status.

ATA #

The ATA chapter number on which the maintenance report is raised (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the ATA chapter number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the maintenance reports with the ATA chapter number entered here.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports raised for the aircraft registration number entered here.

Component #

The component number on which the discrepancy has been reported (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the component number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all maintenance reports raised for the component number entered here.

Discrepancy #

The discrepancy number to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports having processing status as “Analyzed” containing the discrepancy number entered here.

Discrepancy

The discrepancy description (Alphanumeric, 255). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports that contain the discrepancy with the description entered here.

Source Document Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the source document. The system lists the following options:

  •  Visit Package – Select this option if you want to retrieve maintenance reports associated with discrepancies reported in “Visit Package” business component.

  • Hangar Work Order - Select this option if you want to retrieve maintenance reports associated with discrepancies reported in the Hangar Work Order.

  • Journey Log - Select this option if you want to retrieve maintenance reports associated with discrepancies reported in the Flight Log of the “Flight Log” business component.

  • Technical Log - Select this option if you want to retrieve maintenance reports associated with discrepancies reported in the Technical Log of the “Flight Log” business component.

  • Component Work Order - Select this option if you want to retrieve maintenance reports associated with discrepancies reported in the Component Work Order.

By default, the system leaves this field blank.

Source Document #

The number identifying the source document in which the discrepancies are reported (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all maintenance reports that refer to the source document number mentioned here.

Part #

The part number on which the discrepancy has been reported (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports that have been raised for the part number mentioned here.

Part Serial #

The serial number of the part on which the maintenance report has been raised (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports that have been raised for the part serial number entered here.

  Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Applicability

Indicates whether the maintenance report is applicable for either “Aircraft” or “Component”.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft on which maintenance report has been raised.

Component #

The component number on which the maintenance report has been raised.

Part #

The part number on which maintenance report has been raised.

Part Serial #

The serial number of the part on which maintenance report has been raised.

Maint. Report #

The number of the maintenance report where the discrepancy has been processed.

Maintenance Report Description

The textual description of the maintenance report.

Record Status

The status of the discrepancy or maintenance report, which can be “Fresh” or “Pending”.

Tracking Status

The user-defined tracking status defined for the discrepancy.

ATA #

The ATA chapter for which maintenance report has been raised.

Fault #

The fault code defined in the “Fault Isolation Manual” business component that is applicable to the discrepancy being reported.

Cause #

The number identifying the cause, which has been associated to the maintenance report.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document in which the discrepancy was reported, which can be “Visit package”, “Hangar Work Order”, “Journey Log”, “Technical Log” or “Component Work Order”.

Source Document #

The number identifying the source document in which the discrepancy was reported.

Aircraft Model #

The model number of the aircraft on which the maintenance report has been raised.

Part Description

The textual description of the part for which the maintenance report has been raised.

File Name

The name of the reference document corresponding to the maintenance report.

  Enter the following field in the “Report Options” group box:

Report Action

Use the drop-down list box to select the report action. The system lists the following options:

  • Print – Select this option to print the discrepancy report.

  • Print Preview – Select this option to preview the report before printing.

  • View Report – Select this option to view the discrepancy report.

The system sets this field to the “Default Report Action” specified in the “Set Options” activity, by default.

Ø  Check one or more of the following boxes to specify the type of report to be generated:

 Part Requirements

Check this box to generate the part requirements report.

Access Panel Tasks

Check this box to generate the access panel tasks report.

Resource Requirements

Check this box to generate the resource requirements report.

Schedules for Repetitive Procedure

Check this box to generate the schedules for repetitive procedure report.

The system leaves all the boxes checked, by default.

Select the “Generate Discrepancy Resolution Analysis Report” link to generate the report for the maintenance report selected in the multiline.
