Holding or releasing pack slip
This activity allows you to hold or release the pack slip based on the requirement. Only pack slips that are in “Confirmed”, “Allocated”, “Issued” or “” status, can be held till further information. The transient status of the held pack slip is updated to “Hold”.
Similarly, only a pack slip in “Hold” status can be “Released”, so that it can be made available for further actions.
Select the “Hold / Release Pack Slip” link under the “Pack Slip” business component.
The “Hold / Release Pack Slip” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component by default. |
To search for a pack slip
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for the pack slip:
Pack Slip # |
The number identifying the pack slip to be held or released (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the pack slip number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the pack slip. The system lists the options as “Confirmed”, “Allocated” or “Issued”. Leave this field blank to retrieve the pack slip irrespective of the status. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Transient Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the transient status as “Hold” or “Released”. Leave this field blank to retrieve the pack slip irrespective of the transient status. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the customer name in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the customer names, which are similar to the value entered here. You can leave the field blank to retrieve the pack slip irrespective of the customer name |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the pack slip. The system lists all the quick codes of the type “User Status” as defined in the ‘Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify the user status. |
Reference Document # |
The number identifying the reference document associated with the pack slip.(Alphanumeric,18). You can enter the reference document number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. |
Ref Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the reference document associated with pack slip. The system lists the options as “Customer Order” or “General”. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify the user status. |
Note: The system displays “Customer Order” as the reference doc type for the “Customer Order Based“ pack slip, and “General” for the pack slip of type “Customer Goods” or “Part Sale”.
Pack Slip Date From |
The starting date, in the range of dates, from when the pack slips, is to be held or released.(Date Format). |
Pack Slip Date To |
The starting date, in the range of dates, till which the pack slips, is to be held or released.(Date Format). |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the details in the multiline.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:
Pack Slip # |
The number identifying the pack slip to be held or released. |
Pack Slip Date |
The date of the pack slip. |
Status |
The status of the pack slip. |
Transient Status |
The transient status of the pack slip. |
User Status |
The user defined status of the pack slip. |
Customer # |
The code identifying the customer for whom the pack slip is created. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer for whom the pack slip is created. |
Ref Doc Type |
The type of the reference document, which could be “Customer Order” or “General”. |
Reference Document # |
The number identifying the reference document associated with the pack slip. |
Amendment # |
The number identifying the latest amended pack slip. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark pack slip for holding or releasing.
Check the “Select All” box, if you wish to hold or release all the pack slips that are listed in the “Search Results” multiline.
To hold the pack slip, carry out the following
Click the “Hold Pack Slip” pushbutton, to hold the pack slip.
The system updates the status of the pack slip as “Hold”.
Note: Only the pack slip of status “Confirmed”, “Allocated” or “Issued” can be held.
To release the pack slip, carry out the following
Click the “Release Pack Slip” pushbutton, to release the pack slip.
The system updates the status of the pack slip as “Released”.
Note: The pack slip in status “Hold” alone can be released.
