Processing / Viewing part master controlled data change
Select the “Process/ View Part Master Controlled Data Change” link under the “Part Administration” business component.
The “Process/ View Part Master Controlled Data Change” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you are aware of the data change number, for which you wish to modify the details.
Data Change # |
A unique number identifying the change in part's controlled data. |
Select the “Process/ View Data Change” link provided along side to modify the details of the selected part.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the Part Number, Part Description, Data Change #, Doc. Status, Line Status, Change Category, User Status, Requested by, Created by, Created Date; From, Created Date; To, Part Type Change, Control Type Change, Expense Type Change, Issue Basis Change, Valuation Method Change, Stockable? Attribute Change and Expensing Policy Change, for which you wish to modify the details. Data entry in the following fields is optional.
Search On |
Use the drop-down list box to select any one search. The system lists Part Number, Part Description, Data Change #, Doc. Status, Line Status, Change Category, User Status, Requested by, Created by, Created Date; From, Created Date; To, Part Type Change, Control Type Change, Expense Type Change, Issue Basis Change, Valuation Method Change, Stockable? Attribute Change Expensing Policy Change and Part Account Group Change. |

Enter the part number, part description, data change #, requested by, created by, created date: from, created date: to. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character |

Use the drop-down list box to select a value listed based on the value selected in the “Search On” field. This drop-down list box list values if other than part number, part description, data change #, requested by, created by, created date; from, created date: to fields are selected. |

Use the drop-down list box to select the document level details or part level details. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system retrieves the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.
Data Change # |
A unique number identifying the change in part's controlled data. |
Change Category |
The category change. |
User Status |
A user-defined status for the data change. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the key attributes needs to be changed |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Status |
The status of the data change document. |
Target Attributes |
The part attributes to which it is to be changed. |
Requested By |
The name of the employee who requested the document change. |
Requested Date |
The date on which the data change document is requested. |
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the data change |
Created Date |
The date on which the data change document was created |
Click the hyperlinked Data Change # to manage the controlled data for part record.
