This page allows you to update the other part information for the selected part or service. Tell me more.

The “Maintain Other Part Nos” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following in the “Part Information” group box:

Part/Service #

The number identifying the part/service for which other part number or service details must be updated.

Reference Status

The reference status of the part/service.

Part Description

The description of the part/service.

Regular Part/Service ?

Indicates whether the part is a regular part/service.

Part Type

The type of the part/service.

The system displays one of the options “Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, “Kit” or “Miscellaneous” when “Regular Part” is displayed in the ”Regular Part/Service ?” field.

The system displays one of  the options ”Activity”, ”Regular” or ”Conversion” when ”Service” is displayed in the “Regular Part/Service ?” field.

Part Category

The category of the part/service.

Note: At least one row must be entered in the multiline.

Other Part #

A unique number, which can be the equivalent of the part number (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The other part number can be a number used by the supplier, manufacturer or the competitor.

Other Part Description

A textual description of the other part (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. This field must be different from the source description.

Source Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the source from where the part has been obtained. The system lists the options “Manufacturer”, “Supplier” , "Customer" and other source types defined in the "Define Source Type'” activity.

CAGE #

The “Commercial and Government Entity” code (CAGE) assigned to the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 10).

NSCM #

The “NATO Supply code for Manufacturer” number (NSCM) assigned to the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 10).

Source Description

The description of the source (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory.

Remarks

Any comments regarding the other part number.

The system stores the login user ID and the server date, in the “Created By” and “Created Date” fields, or in the “Last Modified by” and “Last Modified Date” fields.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created by

The login ID of the user who defined the other part number information.

Created Date

The date on which the other part number details were defined.

Last Modified by

The login ID of the user who last modified the other part number details.

Last Modified Date

Updating other part number information for a part or service– An overview

Maintain Other Part Nos - A summary of the activity

You can define the other part numbers, the description of the other part number, the source from where the part/service was obtained, the description of the source and any comments relevant to the other part/service number. You can also add the CAGE and NSCM numbers assigned to a manufacturer.
