This  page allows you to search and select a part number to update the planning information. Tell me more.

Part #

The number identifying the part for which you wish to update the planning information (Alphanumeric, 40).

Part #

The number identifying the part for which you wish to update planning information (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Manufacturer Part #

The manufacturer part number of the part for which you wish to update planning information (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that have manufacturer part numbers similar to the value entered here.

Part Description

The description of the part for which you wish to update planning information (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that have part description similar to the value entered here.

Key Word

The key word of the part for which you wish to update planning information details (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the key word in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that have key words similar to the value entered here.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part for which you wish to update planning information. The part could be of type “Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”,  “Kit” or "Miscellaneous".

Part Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the part for which you wish to update planning information. The system lists all the part categories that have been defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity, that are in “Active” status.

Planning Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the planning type of the part for which you want to update planning information. The planning type of the part could be “Min-Max”, “Reorder Level” or “None”. Leave the field blank, to retrieve all the part numbers irrespective of the planning type.

Planning Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the planning status of the part for which you want to update planning information. The planning status of the part could be “Active”, “Inactive” or “Fresh”. Leave the field blank, to retrieve all the part numbers irrespective of their status.

Strip Part #

The stripped number of the part without any special characters (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts having strip part number that is similar to the value entered here.

Note: Leave all the fields blank, if you wish to retrieve all the part numbers available in the database.

Based on the search criteria, the system displays all the part numbers that are in the “Fresh or “Under Creation” status, in the “Search Results” multiline:

Part #

Part Type

The type of the part.

Planning Type

The planning type of the part which could be “Min-Max”, “Reorder Level” or “None”.

Planning Status

Selecting a part for updating planning information – An overview

Maintain Planning Information - A summary of the activity

If you know the exact part number, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the part number, the part number issued by the manufacturer, the description of the part, the key word identifying the part, the type of the part, the category of the part and the reference and planning status of the part.

Based on the search criteria, the system retrieves all the part numbers, which are in the “Under Creation”, Fresh or “Active” status.
