In this page you can retrieve a part number or a part group number. You can search for a part by specifying the part number and the part description. For the part group number, you can search using the group code and description. The part type and the option by which the search results will be displayed can be specified in the search criteria.
The system displays the details in the multiline according to the search criteria entered.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Part # / Group” field.
The “Help On Part – Part Group” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a part number or part group number. Data entry in the fields is optional:

Part # |
The number identifying the part for which you wish to retrieve the details (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. |

Part Description |
The description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. |

Group Code |
The number identifying the part group for which you wish to retrieve the details (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the group codes that are similar to the value entered here. |

Group description |
The textual description of the part group (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part group descriptions that are similar to the description entered here. |

Controlled? |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the part group is controlled or not. Select “Yes” to indicate the part group is controlled and “No” if the part group is not controlled |

Purpose |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the applicable purposes for the part group. The system displays the following values: "Pricing", "Taxes and Charges", "Product Line", "Capability Definition" and, "VAT" |

Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part you wish to retrieve. The part could be of type “Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, “Kit” or "Miscellaneous". |

Display Option |
Use the drop-down list box to select the option by which the search results will be displayed. The system lists the options “Part No” and “Part Group”. |

Strip Part # |
The stripped number of the part without any special characters (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts having strip part number that is similar to the value entered here. |
Click the “Search Parts” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.

Check the box in the multiline to select the part number or the part group number.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
