Using Online Help

This page allows you to retrieve the details of the other part numbers defined for the part. The other part number, the internal part number of the other part, the part description, part type, source type, source description, CAGE number, NSCM number, stock UOM and remarks regarding the other part number are displayed by the system.

The “Help on Other Part Numbers” page appears.

Part #

The number identifying the part for which you wish to retrieve the other part numbers (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the other part numbers associated to the part number entered here.

Part Description

The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the part description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

Base Part #

The number identifying the base part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the base part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

ATA #

Use the drop-down list box to select the ATA chapter number to which the part is associated. The system lists all the ATA chapters defined in the system.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the part from “Raw Material”,“Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, “Kit” or "Miscellaneous".

Strip Part #

The stripped number of the part without any special characters (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts having strip part number that is similar to the value entered here.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Part #

The number identifying the part, which can be the equivalent of the reference part number.

 

Internal Part #

The internal number of the other part number.

 

Part Description

The textual description of the part

Part Type

The type of the other part number.

Source Type

The source from where the part has been obtained.

Source Description

The textual description of the source

CAGE #

The “Commercial and Government Entity” code (CAGE) assigned to the manufacturer of the other part

NSCM #

The “NATO Supply code for Manufacturer” number (NSCM) assigned to the manufacturer of the other part

Stock UOM

The unit of measurement in which the other part number is stocked in the warehouse

Remarks

Any comments regarding the other part number.
