This page allows you to set the advanced search criteria to search for planning information of parts. You can specify a unique number to identify the advanced search criteria.

You can specify the usage and source information as advanced search criteria. You can also specify the part group, planning type, group type, group usage, expense type, issue basis and user-defined details.

The “Set Advanced Search Criteria” page appears.

Search ID

The unique number that identifies the advanced filter criteria to search for the planning information of the part (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Ensure this is a positive number and unique for the login user.

Part Group

Use the drop-down list box to select the part group. The system lists all the part groups defined in the “Create Part Group” with the values “Flight Log Book” and “Tech Log Book”.

Planning Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the planning type. The system lists the options “Reorder Level”, “Min-Max”, “Disposition” and “None”.

Group Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the group type. The system lists all the group types defined in the “Create Group Type” activity.

Group Usage

Use the drop-down list box to select the group usage. The system lists the options "Maintenance", "Inventory", "Purchase", "Operation", "Sales" and Accounting & "Others":

Expense Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of expense incurred while purchasing the part. The system provides the options “Capital” and “Revenue”.

Issue Basis

Use the drop-down list box to select the issue basis on which the part is issued. The system lists the options “Returnable”, “Core Returnable” and “Non-Returnable”.

Valuation Method

Use the drop-down list box to select the method in which the costing of the part is done at an inventory location. The options are “Standard Cost”, “Wt Avg Rate”, “LIFO”, “FIFO” and “Actual Cost”.

Part Control Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part control. The system lists the options “Serial Controlled”, “Lot Controlled” and “Serial & Lot Controlled”.

ABC Class

Use the drop-down list box to select the ABC Class, part analysis classification. This analysis is based on the earlier consumption records of the part. Parts are usually classified into three types in the decreasing value of its annual consumption. The principle of this analysis holds that, by controlling lower consumption value items, effort and money can be saved. The system lists the options “A”, “B”, “C” and “None”.

XYZ Class

Use the drop-down list box to select the XYZ Class, part analysis classification. This analysis is done based on the current stock value. Parts are classified into three types based on their inventory value. Value percentage can be specified for the respective classes. The system lists the options “X”, “Y”, “Z” and “None”.

FSN Class

Use the drop-down list box to select FSN Class, part analysis classification. This analysis is done based on the movement of the stock from the inventory. The average stay of the stock and its consumption rate are taken into account while doing this analysis.

VED Class

Use the drop-down list box to select VED Class, part analysis classification. This analysis is done based on the relative importance of the item with respect to the other parts, in the day-to-day operations. The items are classified based on the perception and experience of the user.

User Defined Detail 1

Any user defined detail regarding the part (Alphanumeric, 25).

Usage:

For Maintenance

Check this box to indicate that the part is used for maintenance purpose.

For Sale

Check this box to indicate that the part is for sale purpose.

For Loan

Check this box to indicate that the part can be loaned to another organization unit within the company.

For Pool

Check this box to indicate that the part belongs to a common storage from which the various organization units can use it.

For Exchange

Check this box to indicate that the part can be exchanged with another part available in the same login organization unit.

All

Check this box to set the advanced search criteria based on all the usage options.

Check this box to indicate that the part has to be purchased.

Sub-Contracted

Check this box to indicate that the part has to be sub-contracted.

On Loan

Check this box to indicate that the part is obtained on loan.

From Pool

Check this box to indicate that the part is obtained from the common storage.

On Exchange

Check this box to indicate that the part is obtained on exchange.

All

Check this box to set the advanced search criteria based on all the source options.
