This page enables you to view the impacted transactions. The system lists all the impacted transactions for the parts. You can act on these impacted transactions to effect the part data change.
Select the “View Impacted Transactions” link under the "Manage Controlled Data for Part Record” page.
The “Impacted Transactions” page appears.
Note: You can launch this page only if the document is in “Error” status.
The system displays the following.
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component. |
The system displays the following in the “Change Document Details” group box:
Data Change # |
A unique number identifying the change in the part's controlled data. This number is automatically generated and displayed by the system while creating the change document for changing the controlled data for part(s). |
Status |
The status of the data change document. |
Change Category |
The category change. |
User Status |
The user-defined status for the data change. |
Enter the following fields in the “Display Option” group box.
Part # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the part for which you want to view impacted transactions. The system lists all the part numbers in the Data Change transaction for which the line status is “Error”. |
Message Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of message, which could be “Error” or “Information”. The system leaves the field blank by default |
Transaction Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of transaction. The system lists all the unique transaction types listed in the impacted transaction, for all the parts in the Part # field. |

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the part details
The system displays the following fields in the “Transaction Details” multiline:

Suggested Resolution |
The resolution suggested by the system for the line part #. |
Offline Area # |
The offline area at which the transaction was impacted by the part data change. Note: Part Data Change is allowed only in the Main base. Any transaction in the Field base involving a part that has undergone data change automatically becomes invalid. Hence, the system automatically closes/short closes/cancels such transactions. |
System Action-Offline Area |
The action that the system automatically carried out on the transaction impacted by the part data change, in the offline area/Field base. For example, "Short Closed automatically for PDC" or "Cancelled automatically for PDC ". |
