Create Part Administration Quick Codes – A summary of the activity

The basic quick code types are defined in the system. This activity allows you to define the quick code values for the different quick code types. These values are used in all the other part administration activities.

The quick code types such as the “Part category” and "Service Category" are predefined in the system. Values can be defined for the quick code types. For example, the quick code type “Part Category” can contain quick codes like “All Oils”, “Part Source” etc.

You can define a quick code for a specific quick code type, by providing a unique identifier and a description for it. The quick code must be unique for the organization unit. The system assigns the “Active” status once the quick code is created and sets the created date and time to the server date and time.
