You can set default options for the various fields in the activities of the “Aircraft Maintenance Forecast” business component

The “Set Options” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Forecast Components along with the Aircraft

Use the drop-down list box  to indicate that component maintenance schedules can be forecasted along with the aircraft. Select,

  • Yes- if you wish to forecast component maintenance schedules along with the aircraft forecast.

  • No – if you do not  wish to forecast component maintenance schedules along with the aircraft forecast.

By default, the system displays the option “No”.

Forecast Numbering Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the numbering pattern to be used for generating the forecast. The system lists all the numbering types created in the “Create Numbering Class” activity of the “Document Numbering Class” business component that are valid on the current date. By default, the system sets the field to the numbering type specified as default for the “Component Forecast” transaction.

This field is not applicable, if the “Forecast Components along with the Aircraft” field is set as “No”.

Component Planning Group Security

Use the drop down list box to enable or disable the planning security for the component maintenance planning. The system lists the following options:

  • Required – Select this option if you wish to enable the ‘Planning Security’ for the component forecast.

  • Not Required – Select this option if you do not wish to enable the ‘Planning Security’ for the component forecast.

Note: If the option “Required” is selected, the system checks whether the login user has valid permission to forecast the component maintenance schedules. The permission for component forecast is set in the “Create Planner Group ” activity of the “Component Maintenance Planning” business component.

Reoccurrence Count for Short Term Forecast

The reoccurrence count for short term forecast. This value should be a positive integer between 1 and 25.

Note: The system will not allow negative integers and zero.

The system updates the login user ID and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Last Modified By

The login Id of the user who last modified the option settings.

Last modified Date

The date on which the option settings were last modified.
