This page allows you to view asset template details.

The “View Asset Template” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Part Details” group box:

Part #

The part number for which the asset template details are displayed.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Part Type

The type of the part.

Expense Type

The expense type of the part. Ensure that the expense type of the part is “Capital”.

Manufacturer Part #

The manufacturer part number of the part.

Planning Location

The planning location of the part.

The system displays the following fields in the “Asset Id. Generation Options” group box:

Generation Rule

The rule by which the asset ID must be generated. The system displays one of the following options:

  • Single – indicates that multiple asset tags can be created for an asset number.

  • Distinct – indicates that a unique asset ID and asset tag combination is created for the asset.

Asset No. Numbering Type

The numbering type to be used for creating asset numbers.

The system displays the following fields in the “Default Asset Details” group box:

Asset Description

The default textual description that you wish to specify for the assets.

Tag Description

The default tag description to be given to the assets.

Asset Class Code

The asset class code.

Asset Group Code

The asset group code.

Asset Location Code

The asset location code for the asset.

Cost Center

The cost center to which the asset is associated.

Salvage Value

The salvage value of the asset.

Depreciation Category

The depreciation category of the asset.

Custodian

The custodian of the asset.

Inventory Cycle

The inventory cycle pertaining to the asset. The system displays one of the values “Monthly”, “Quarterly”, “Half Yearly”, “Yearly” or “Not Required”.

Recording FB

The finance book in which the asset details will be recorded. The system displays one of the following:

  • Planning Base FB – Indicates that the asset details must be recorded in the planning base finance book.

  • Warehouse FB - Indicates that the asset details must be recorded in the warehouse finance book.

  • Named FB – Indicates that the asset details must be recorded in the named finance book.

Named FB

The named finance book in which the asset details has been recorded.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the asset template.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the asset template was last modified.
