Help on Asset Number and Asset Tag
This page allows you to retrieve the details of the asset number and asset tag that are already defined in the system. You can carry out a search based on the asset number, asset tag, asset location code, finance book, cost center, asset class code and tag status. The system retrieves the details from the “Asset Capitalization” business component and displays the results in the multiline, as per the search criteria specified.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Asset No.” field or “Asset Tag” field in the main screen.
The “Help on Asset No. and Asset Tag” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the asset number and asset tag. Data entry in the following fields is optional.
Asset No. |
The asset number for which you wish to retrieve the details (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the asset number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the asset numbers, which are similar to the number entered here. |
Asset Tag |
The asset tag for which you wish to retrieve the details (Integer). You can enter the asset tag in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the asset tags, which are similar to the tag entered here. |
Asset Location Code |
The asset location code for the asset (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the asset location code in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the asset numbers and asset tags created in the asset location entered here. |
Finance Book |
Select the finance book to which the asset number and asset tag are associated. The system lists all finance books defined. |
Cost Center |
The cost center to which the asset number and tag are associated (Alphanumeric, 10). You can enter the cost center in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the asset numbers and asset tags belonging to the cost center entered here. |
Asset Class Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the asset class code to which the asset number and asset tag are associated. The system lists all the asset class codes defined in the “Asset Type Definition” business component. |
Tag Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the asset tag, which could be “Fresh” or “Active”. By default, this field is set to “Active”. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:
Asset No. |
The number identifying the asset. |
Asset Tag |
The number identifying the asset tag. |
Asset Location Code |
The asset location code associated to the asset number and asset tag. |
Tag Status |
The tag status of the asset, which could be “Fresh” or “Active”. |
Finance Book |
The finance book associated to the asset number and asset tag. |
Asset Class code |
The code identifying the asset class. |
Document # |
The number identifying the document associated to the asset number and asset tag. |
Document Type |
The type of the document associated to the asset number and asset tag. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the asset number and asset tag.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
