This page allows you to set options for the various fields in the "Maintenance Asset Tracker" business component.

The “Set Options” page appears.

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

Modification of Asset No. for Maintenance Assets

Use the drop-down list box  to allow/disallow modification of the asset number for maintenance assets. Select,

  • “Yes”, to allow modifying the asset number for maintenance assets in the “Maintain Asset Identifier for Maintenance Objects”, “Maintain Asset Identifier for Capital Inventory” and “Maintain Asset Identifier for Facilities” activities.  

  • “No”, to prevent modification of the asset number for maintenance assets in the above-mentioned activities.

The system sets this field to “Yes” by default.

Sharing of Asset No.

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether two or more maintenance assets can share the same asset number as defined in the “Maintain Asset Identifier for Maintenance Objects”, “Maintain Asset Identifier for Capital Inventory”, and “Maintain Asset Identifier for Facilities” activities. Select,

  • "Allowed", to indicate that multiple maintenance objects can possess the same asset #-asset tag combination.

  • “Allowed for Hierarchical Objects”, to  enable objects with the same parent component or part # to possess identical asset # -asset tag combination.

The system sets this field to “Allowed” by default.

Asset FB Check with holding unit’s book

Use the drop-down list box to ensure that the finance books of the asset and the finance book of the holding unit are the same.  

If the option is set as “Required”, the system ensures the following,

  • For aircraft, the finance book of the asset Id and the asset tag is same as the finance book mapped to the planning bases for which aircraft record is created or the finance books to which the aircraft is mapped.

  • For capital inventory parts, the finance book of the asset # - asset tag is same as the finance book mapped to the warehouse # in which the component is available

The system sets this field to “Required”, by default.

Note: If the option “Asset FB Check with Holding Unit’s Book” is set as “Allowed” in the “Set Options” activity, ensure that the finance book of asset number and asset tag combination and the finance book of the planning base of the aircraft are same.

Asset Tag Association to Aircraft

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the association of the asset tag to aircraft is mandatory for activating an aircraft. Select,

  • “Mandatory”, to make the mapping of aircraft to asset # and asset tag mandatory for the activation of an aircraft in “Aircraft” business component. For example, when an aircraft is activated in “Edit Aircraft Record” activity of the Aircraft business component, the system ensures that asset # and asset tag are mapped to the aircraft reg. #.

  • “Non Mandatory”, if the mapping of aircraft to asset # - asset tag is not required for activation of an aircraft.

The system sets this field to “Non Mandatory” by default.

Auto Asset Property updation on Exchange

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the system must automatically update the asset information on exchange of components. Select,

  • “Required”, to replace the part number and serial number for the component and asset # - asset tag combination with the new part number and serial number anytime a different part number is received through the exchange option provided in a purchase order/repair order/loan order.

  • “Not Required”, if update of asset information is not required on component exchange .

The system sets this field to “Not Required” by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the options.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the options were last modified.
