Maintain Packaging Codes – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to define codes describing the various methods of packaging that are in use or expected to be used by suppliers, when shipping a part. These codes can then be used in the purchase–related business components, to specify the required packaging method.

You can enter a code to identify a packaging method and provide the description for it. You can also specify the status of the packaging code. The packaging code must be unique to the organization unit. The system creates the packaging codes and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.

You can also modify the packaging code details that are already created, in this page. You can search for the packaging codes by specifying the search criteria such as the packaging code and the status. Based on the search criteria entered the system displays the packaging code details. You can modify the packaging code description and the status.
