Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to search and select a partner and transfer the same to the field in which it is required. You can carry out the search using the partner code, partner type, partner name, address, SPEC 2000 code and SITA / ARINC. The system retrieves all the defined partner numbers, which are in the “Active” status, based on the search criteria entered. On confirmation, the selected partner number is transferred to the required page.

 The “Help on Partner” page appears.

Partner Code

The code identifying the partner whose details you need to view (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the partners numbers entered here.

Partner Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the partner type as “Customer” or “Supplier”.

If the partner type is “Customer”, ensure that it is a valid customer number and is already defined in the “Customer” business component and it is in the "Active" status.

If the partner type is “Supplier”, ensure that it is a valid supplier number and is already defined in the “Supplier” business component and it is in the "Active" status.

The system displays “Customer” by default.

Note: If the ‘Partner Type’ is selected as “Supplier”, the system retrieves only the details of the Suppliers for which the Supplier Status is set as 'Active' in the “Edit Location Details” screen of the “Supplier” business component.

Partner Name

The name of the partner (Alphanumeric, 60). You can enter the name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the names for the partner number entered.

Address

The address of the partner (Alphanumeric, 255). You can enter the address in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the address of the partner entered.

SPEC 2000 Code

The manufacturer code, such as CAGE #, NSCM #, given by an external regulatory authority (Alphanumeric, 5). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the partners that match the SPEC 2000 code entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the partners irrespective of the SPEC 2000 code.

SITA/ ARINC

The code that identifies the partner when using the SITA / ARINC form of communication (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the SITA / ARINC code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the partners that match the SITA / ARINC code entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the partners irrespective of the SITA / ARINC code.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Partner Code

The number identifying the partner.

Partner Type

The type of the partner, which could be either “Customer” or “Supplier”.

Partner Name

The name of the partner.

Address

The address of  the partner.

SPEC 2000 Code

The manufacturer code, such as CAGE #, NSCM #, given by an external regulatory authority to the partner.

SITA/ ARINC

The code that identifies the partner when using the SITA / ARINC form of communication.
