The “Edit Reason Codes” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Reason Code Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of reason code that you need to modify. The system provides the options, “Rejection”, “Quarantine”, "Scrap Note", "Stock Correction" and "Purchase". The system retrieves all the reason codes of the type specified here, which is already defined in the “Create Reason Code” activity of the current business component. The system sets the field to “Rejection” by default.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the reason code that you need to modify. The system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system retrieves all the reason codes of the status specified here. You can leave this field blank to retrieve all the reason codes irrespective of their status.

The system displays the following field in the “Search Results” multiline:

Reason Code

The reason code retrieved by the system.

Reason Description

The textual description of the reason code (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the reason code, to either “Active” or “Inactive”.

Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to disable this reason code from future reference in other activities. However, if the reason code is defined by the system, you cannot reset its status to ‘Inactive’.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The name of the user who created the reason code.

Created Date

The date, in the specified date format, on which the reason code was created.

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the reason code.

Last Modified Date

The date, in the specified date format, on which the reason code was last modified.

The system updates the modifications and stores the login user name and the current server date as the last modified date.
