This page allows you to create shipping method codes. Tell me more.
Select the “Maintain Shipping Method Codes” link under the “Logistics Common Master” business component.
The “Maintain Shipping Method Codes” page appears.
The system displays the following:

Date Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a shipping method code. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Shipping Method # |
The shipping method codes for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 25) |

You can enter the shipping method codes in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the shipping method codes that are similar to the value entered here. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the shipping method code to be modified. The status could be “Active” or “Inactive”. The system retrieves all the shipping method codes that are in the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of shipping method codes irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search result in the “Search Results” multiline.
Enter the following in the “Search Results” multiline, if you wish to create a new shipping method code:

Shipping Method # |
A unique number identifying the shipping method (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. This can be a combination of characters and digits. Ensure that this number is unique to the organization unit. Enter this field to create a new shipping method code. |
Note: When you try to modify the already created shipping method code, the system will display an error message.
Enter the following to create a new shipping code or to modify the existing shipping code details:

Description |
The textual description of the shipping method (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the shipping method code to “Active” or “Inactive”. |

Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable the shipping method code for future reference in other activities. You had set the field as “Active” when you created the shipping method code for the first time. |
The system displays the following:

Created By |
The name of the user who created the shipping method code. |
|
Created Date |
The date on which the shipping method code was created. |
|
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the shipping method code information. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the shipping method code details were last modified. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the shipping method code for deletion.
Click the “Maintain Shipping Method Codes” pushbutton to create or to modify the shipping method code details.
Activate or inactivate shipping method code
Activate or inactivate shipping method code
You can inactivate a shipping method code that is in the “Active” status, so that it is disabled from future reference in other activities.
Set the “Status” field as “Inactive”.
The system updates the status of the shipping method code to “Inactive”.
