Selecting loan order for editing
This page enables you to select a loan order for editing. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Loan Order” link under the “Loan Order” business component.
The “Select Loan Order” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the exact loan order number:
Loan Order # |
The number identifying the loan order that you wish to edit (Alphanumeric, 40) |
Select the “Edit Loan Order” link provided alongside, to edit the loan order.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the loan order. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Action |
Use the drop-down list box to select the action, whether to modify the loan order or cancel the authorized loan order. The system lists “Edit Loan Order” or “Cancel Authorized Loan Order”. By default, the system displays “Edit Loan Order”. Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the loan order to be edited. If “Edit Loan Order” is selected, the system lists “Fresh”, “Draft” and “Returned”. By default, the system leaves the field blank. If '”Cancel Authorized Loan Order” is selected, the system lists and displays “Authorized”. If the status is selected as “Authorized”, the system retrieves Authorized Loan Orders for which Loan Rental Receipt is not in “Received” or “Confirmed “statuses. |
Loan Order # |
The number identifying the loan order that you wish to edit (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the loan order number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all loan order numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Supplier # |
The code of the supplier from whom the part is to be loaned (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the supplier code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all loan order numbers with the supplier code entered here. |
Part # |
The part number for which the loan order is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all loan orders raised for the part number entered here. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all loan orders with parts that have descriptions that are similar to the description entered here. |
Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the loan order. The system lists all the ‘active’ categories defined for the loan order transaction in the “Create Common Category” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user status of the loan order. The system lists all the ‘active’ user status codes defined for the loan order document in the “Create User Status” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. |
From Date |
The starting date in the range of dates during which the loan order was created (Date Format). The system lists all the loan orders that have been raised later than this date. This date must be in the same format as displayed in the “Date Format” field. |
To Date |
The ending date in the range of dates during which the loan order was created (Date Format). The system lists all the loan orders that have been raised later than this date. This date must be in the same format as displayed in the “Date Format” field. Ensure that this date is earlier than or the same as the date entered in the “From Date” field. |
Priority |
Use the drop-down list box to select the priority of the loan order. The system lists all the ‘active’ priority codes defined in the “Maintain Priority Codes” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. |
Loan For |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the loan order must be modified for the login organization or for the customer. The drop-down list box lists the values “Self” and “Customer” along with a blank value. |

In the editable field alongside, enter the Trading Partner # if the Loan Order is on behalf of the Customer. |
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the loan order (Alphanumeric, 30) You can enter the login ID in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all loan order numbers with the login ID of the user entered here. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the "Search Results" multiline:

Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Supplier # |
The supplier for whom the loan order was created |
Status |
The status of the loan order, which could be “Fresh”, “Draft” or “Returned” |

Enter the following field:
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user status of the loan order. The system lists all the ‘active’ user status codes defined for loan order transaction in the “Create User Status” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. |
The system displays the following fields:
Loan Order Date |
The date on which the loan order was created |
Priority |
The priority assigned to the loan order |
Loan For |
The loan Order created for the login Organization or for the Customer. |
Trading Partner |
The concatenation of Trading Partner # and Trading Partner Name. |
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the loan order |
Enter the following field, if you wish to cancel the loan order:
Comments |
Any comment pertaining to the cancellation of loan order (Alphanumeric, 255) |
Click the hyperlinked loan order number in the multiline to edit the details.
Click the “Cancel Loan Orders” pushbutton to cancel the loan order(s) selected in the multiline.
The status of the loan order changes to “Canceled”.
Note: You can cancel the Authorized Loan Order, if the loan rental receipt is not in “Received” or “Confirmed “statuses.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
Selecting loan order for editing – An overview
This page enables you to select a loan order for editing. If you know the loan order number, you can directly enter it. Or, you can carry out a search based on the loan order number, supplier code, part, part description, status, category, user status, range of loan order creation dates, priority and login ID of the user who created the loan order. The system retrieves the search results in the multiline.
