Viewing inspection details for the serial number of the part
This page allows you to view the inspection details for the individual part serial numbers. Tell me more.
Select the “View Serial Inspection Details” link in the “View Inspection Details” page.
The “View Serial Inspection Details” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the ”GR Info” group box:
GR # |
The number that identifies the repair receipt note. |
Status |
The status of the repair receipt. |
GR Date |
The date on which the repair receipt was raised. |
GR Type |
The type of the repair receipt, which could be “Normal” or “Exchange”. |
Receiving Warehouse # |
The number identifying the warehouse in which the components was received. |
Enter the following field in the “Part Info” group box:
Line # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the part for which you need to view the inspection details. The system lists all the line numbers of the parts, which are either serial number-controlled or lot and serial number-controlled. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the part details.
The system displays the following in the “Part Info” group box:
Part # |
The number that identifies the part, which is serial number-controlled. |
Part Description |
The description of the part. |
Total Issue Qty |
The quantity of parts issued to the supplier. |
Total Receipt Qty |
The quantity of parts received from the supplier. |
Inspected By |
The code of the person who has inspected the parts. |
Inspected Date |
The date on which the inspection is done on the parts. |
Comments |
Any additional remarks pertaining to the inspection of the parts. |
The system displays the following in the “Part Details” multiline:
Manufacturer Serial # |
The serial number of the part provided by the manufacturer. |
Inspection Result |
The inspection result for the part, which could be “Accepted”, “Rejected” or “Quarantined. |
Reason Code |
The code that identifies the reason for either rejecting or quarantining the part. |
Note: The system displays “Rejected for Lower shelf life”, if the shelf life of the serial number is lesser than the minimum shelf life.
Condition |
The condition of the part, which could be “New”, “Overhauled” “Serviceable”, “Unserviceable or “New Surplus. |
Certificate Type |
The type of certificate issued to the part after inspection. |
Certificate # |
The number that identifies the certificate issued to the part. |
Certificate Date |
The date on which the certificate was issued. |
Expiry Date |
The date on which the serial number or lot number expires. |
Records Update? |
The status of the technical records updates corresponding to the serial number being inspected. The system displays “Pending”, “Not Applicable”, “Verified”, “Override” or leaves the field blank. |
Certificate Supplier # |
The code identifying the certificate supplier. |
Authorization # |
The code identifying the authorization for the certificate. |
File Name |
The name of the attached file. |
Remarks |
Any additional remarks pertaining to the inspection of the particular serial number of the part. |

Select the “View Component Parameters” link at the bottom of the page, to view the parameter values of the component.
Select the “View Documents” link at the bottom of the page to view the document details.
Viewing inspection details for the serial number of the part – An overview
You can view the details for parts, which are serial number-controlled. You can select the line number and view details such as the inspection result, reason code, condition of the part, certificate type, certificate number and the date on which the certificate is issued.
