Selecting execution reference for viewing – An overview

In this page, you can select an execution reference to be viewed. If you know the exact execution reference number to be viewed, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the execution reference number, operations type,Date From/ To, aircraft and model number, package type,  log item number, document category and task number.

Based on the search criteria, details such as the execution reference number, aircraft and model number, are displayed. The system also displays the log item number, which contains the details of the journey log, category to which the journey log belongs.

Selecting execution reference for viewing

Ø              Select the “View A/C Maint. Exe. Ref. #” link under the “Flight Log” business component.

The “Select Execution Ref #” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields must be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Ø              Enter the following field in the ”Direct Entry” group box, if you know the execution reference  to be viewed:

Execution Ref #

The execution reference number for which the details must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30).

Ø              Select the “View Execution Ref #” link displayed alongside to view the execution reference details.

To search for an execution reference

Ø              Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for execution reference. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Execution Ref #

The execution reference number for which the details have to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all execution reference numbers similar to the number entered here.

Package Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the package type. The combo is loaded with “Log Card”, blank and all the package types which are in “Active” status and for which “Attributes Defined’ is set as “Yes” in the Common Master business component. The values are loaded in alphabetical order.

 

 

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft for which the execution reference details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft whose registration numbers are similar to the number entered here.

Aircraft Model #

Use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft model for which the execution reference details must be viewed. The system retrieves all the aircraft belonging to the model specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of aircraft irrespective of the model. The system leaves the field blank by default.

 

 

Log Item #

The number identifying the log item, which contains the execution reference details (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the flight number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all execution reference numbers with the log item number entered here.

Operations Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the operations type of the execution reference to be viewed. The system lists the values “Flight Ops” and “Repair Station”. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of execution reference irrespective of their status.

Doc. Category

Use the drop-down list box to specify the category to which the document belongs. The combo is loaded blank and all the quick codes of type Tech Log category” defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The values are loaded in alphabetical order.

 

Work Center#

Use the drop-down list to select the work center for which the execution reference details must be viewed. The system lists all the work centers defined in the “Work Center” business component, with the execution capability as “Line Jobs & All”. The system retrieves all execution reference numbers that associated with the selected work center.

By default, the system leaves the field blank.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all execution reference numbers irrespective of the work center.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the Task. The combo is loaded with options “Fresh”, “Planned”, “In Progress”, “In Complete”, “Deferred”, “Completed”, ”Pre Closed”, “Closed” and” Cancelled”. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Date From / To

Use the drop-down list box to specify the search criteria based on which the execution reference details are to be retrieved. The combo is loaded with options “Plan Start Date”, “Plan End Date”, “Actual Start Date” and “Actual End Date”. The system leaves the field blank by default. Based on the selection of the value in the combo and the dates entered in From and To fields, the system retrieves the execution reference documents.

Example: If the “Plan Start Date” option is selected in the combo, then the system retrieves only the documents having its Planned Start Date specified for the period entered.

§          If you have entered “02-03-2009” in the From Date, then the system fetches only the documents planned on and after 02-03-2009.

§          If you have entered “02-03-2009” in the To Date, then the system fetches only the documents planned on and before 02-03-2009.

The date search validation is the same for “Plan End Date”, “Actual Start Date” and “Actual End Date”.

Task #

The task for which the execution reference details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the task number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the tasks whose numbers are similar to the number entered here.

Discrepancy #

The discrepancy for which the execution reference details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies whose numbers are similar to the number entered here.

Journey Log #

The number identifying the journey log (Alphanumeric, 40).

Customer Order #

The customer order number for which the execution reference details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the customer orders whose numbers are similar to the number entered here.

 

Ø              Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search result.

Viewing Execution Ref #– An overview

In this page, you can view the execution reference information. The system displays the execution reference details and the journey log details associated to the execution reference and the discrepancy associated to the execution reference  and the journey log.

You can also view the type of the incident or accident observed in the incoming flight, the maintenance activity that has to be performed to rectify the incident or accident and the general maintenance check that has to be performed on the incoming flight.

The outgoing flight number for which the execution reference details are viewed and the maintenance activity that has to be performed, if the flight is the first flight of the day can be viewed.

Ø              Select the “View Execution Ref #” in the “Select Execution Ref #” page.

The system displays the following field:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are to be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The execution reference number

. The system displays the package type before the execution reference number.

Status

The status of the execution reference, which could be one of the following:

§                      Fresh – When the execution reference is created. The details can be added or modified if the execution reference is in “Fresh” status

§                      Confirm – When the execution reference is confirmed. The details cannot be modified.

Doc. Category

The category to which the document belongs. .

Operations Type

The operations type assigned to the execution reference.

Doc. Basis

The basis of the document.

A/C Maint. Exe. Basis

The basis of the A/C maintenance event.

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft for which the execution reference details must be viewed.

Aircraft Model #

The model to which the aircraft belongs.

Plan Start Date & Time

The planned start date and time of the execution reference.

Plan End Date & Time

The planned end date and time of the execution reference.

The actual end date and time of the execution reference.

Gate #

The number identifying the gate.

Gate-In Date & Time

The date and time at which the flight was taxied to the gate or the last docking date.

Log #

The number identifying the log, which contains the execution reference details.

Maintenance Event

The maintenance event for the discrepancy.

Work Center#

The number identifying the work center for the execution reference.

COM Reqd?

Indicates whether certificate of maintenance is required for the execution reference.

The type of expense for the flight execution reference which could be “Revenue” or “Capital”.

CAPEX Proposal  #

The number identifying the CAPEX proposal # for expenses in execution reference.

Viewing discrepancy details

This page allows you to view the discrepancy details associated with the execution reference.

The “Discrepancy Details”  tab appears by default, on launch of the “View Execution Ref #” page. 

Ø              Select the “Discrepancy Details” tab in the “View Execution Ref #” page.

The system displays the following in the “PIREP & Execution Ref Reported Discrepancy Details” multiline:

Discrepancy Type

The type of discrepancy that has been reported, which can be “PIREP”, “MIREP”, “Cabin” or “Non-Routine”.

PIREP – refers to discrepancies reported by the pilot in the journey log.

MIREP – refers to the discrepancies reported by the mechanics in the work orders.

§          Cabin - refers to the discrepancies reported by the cabin crew and Flight Attendants.

§          Non-Routine - refers to the non-routine discrepancies reported by the mechanics at the time of execution.

 

Discrepancy #

The number identifying the discrepancy reported on the aircraft.

Discrepancy Description

The textual description of the discrepancy.

Log Item #

The number identifying the log item, which contains the discrepancy details.

The ATA chapter on which the discrepancy is reported.

Auth. Reference #

The authentic reference number of the discrepancy.

Hold Item #

The tracking number of the deferral against which the discrepancy is reported. The system displays the hold item number defined in the “Discrepancy Processing” business component.

Deferral Item #

The code identifying the deferral item.

Deferral Type

Indicates the type of the deferral item.

Deferred By(FH/FC/Days)

The flying hours/flying cycles/days by which the item is deferred.

Deferred Till Date

The date until which the item is deferred.

Recurring?

Indicates whether the discrepancy reported is recurring or not.

Record Status

The status of the discrepancy or maintenance report, which can be “Fresh”, “Pending” or “Pending deferral”.

Tracking Status

The tracking status of the discrepancy.

Action

The action to be performed on reporting the discrepancy.

Last Corrective Action

The last corrective action taken on the discrepancy.

Source Type

Indicates the source type of the discrepancy.

Source #

The code identifying the source of the discrepancy.

Caused Delay?

Indicates whether the discrepancy caused a delay in the aircraft schedule. The system displays either “Yes” or “No”.

Transfer To : Part #

The part number of the component to which the discrepancy has been transferred.

Transfer To : Serial #

The serial number of the part to which the discrepancy has been transferred.

Deferral Task #

The code identifying the deferral task.

Major Item

The major item affected due to discrepancy.

Corrosion Related?

Indicates whether the discrepancy is corrosion related or not.

Part Required?

Indicates whether part required for the reported discrepancy.

Reported Date & Time

The date and time at which the discrepancy was reported.

Reference #

The number of the document where the discrepancy was identified.

Fault #

The code identifying the fault in the aircraft.

Remarks

Any remarks about the fault code.

Reported By

The code of the employee who reported the discrepancy.

Transfer To: Component ID

The component id of the component to which the discrepancy has been transferred.

File Name

The name of the file relating to the discrepancy or maintenance report. Select the “View File” link to view contents of the file.

Engg Service Req #

The number of the engineering service request which has this maintenance report number as the reference document detail.

Engg Advice Note #

The number of the engineering advice note, which is a response to the problem reported in the engineering service request.

Chapter Description

The textual description of the ATA chapter for which the discrepancy has been raised.

Fault Description

The description of the fault code.

Discrepancy Category

The user-defined category defined for the discrepancy.

Ø              Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the discrepancy to be viewed.

Ø              Select the “View Deferral Limits” link to view the deferral limits set for the discrepancy.

The currency used in the transactions.

The system displays the following in the “Actual Cost Information” group box:

Issue Cost

The issue cost reported for the execution reference.

Labor Cost

The labor cost reported for the execution reference.

The total cost of facilities incurred on the execution reference.

Misc. Cost

The total miscellaneous cost incurred on the execution reference.

Total Cost

The sum of all the costs mentioned above: Issue Cost, Labor Cost, Facilities Cost and Misc. Cost.

The finance book in which the postings are done.

The system displays the following in the “Estimated Cost Information” group box:

Labor Cost

The labor cost reported for the execution reference.

The total cost of facilities incurred on the execution reference.

The cost of the part used for the maintenance report.

The name of the file that is associated to the technical log and is used for reference.

The date and time of flight departure.

Specifies whether the outgoing flight is the first flight for the day.

Viewing resource actuals information for maintenance report

In this page, you can view the resource actuals reported against a maintenance report. You can specify the maintenance report for which you need to view the resource actuals. The system displays the resource actuals, such as the resource code, type, description, actual hours for which the resource is utilized for the selected maintenance report.

Ø              Select the “View Resource Consumptions” link at the bottom of the “View Execution Ref #” page.

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Use the drop-down list box to specify the display option of the resource consumption. The combo is loaded with “Estimation” and “Actuals”. The system displays “Estimation” on page launch.

Ø              Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to display the details in the multiline.

Note: If the Display Option is selected as “Estimation”, then the system retrieves the estimated resources for the corresponding Execution Ref # at each task level. Only Estimated hours will be fetched and Actual hours will be blank. If the Display Option is selected as “Actuals”, then the system retrieves the actual resources for the corresponding Execution Ref # at each task level. Both Est. hours and Actual hours will be fetched.

The number identifying the task.

Seq #

The number identifying the sequence.

Resource #

The number identifying the resource for which you need to view the resource information.

Resource Type

The type of the resource, which could be “Equipment“, “Tools” or “Others”.

From Date

The date starting from which the resource is utilized for the maintenance report.

From Time

The time from which the resource is utilized for the maintenance report.

To Date

The date until which the resource is utilized for the maintenance report.

To Time

The time until which the resource is utilized for the maintenance report.

Est. Hours

The estimated time spent in hours on the maintenance report.

Actual Hours

The actual time spent in hours on the maintenance report.

Resource Description

The textual description for the resource.

Task Description

The description of the task.

Viewing part consumption for the maintenance report

In this page, you can view the details regarding the consumption of parts  for a maintenance report. You can specify the maintenance report for which you need to view the parts consumption details. The details such as the issued, used and returned number of parts can be viewed.

Ø              Select the “View Part Consumptions Information” link at the bottom of the “View Execution Ref #” page.

The “View Part Consumption Information” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Indicates whether the requested part needs to be attached to the aircraft or to be consumed.

Reconciled Qty – Excess

The reconciled quantity of the part in excess.

Reconciled Qty – Core

The reconciled quantity of the core part.

Remarks

Any remarks regarding the reconciliation.

Pending Return Qty

The remaining quantity of parts that need to be returned after usage.

Pending Return Qty – Core

The remaining quantity of core parts that need to be returned after usage.

Returned Qty - Excess

The excess quantity of parts returned after usage.

Part Description

The description of the part.

Work center #

The number identifying the work center.

The cost used for the issue of the part.

MR Source

The source from which the material request for the part was issued, which could be “Inventory” or “Non-Inventory”.

Available Qty

The quantity of the part that is available in the warehouse. If Material Request is created, then the system displays the Available Qty after creation of Material Request excluding the current material request’s required qty.

Substitute Type

Indicates the type of substitute for the part.

Substitute Part #

The number identifying the substitute part for the part.

MR Status

The status of the material request, which could be “Authorized” or “Partial Issue”.

Requirement Type

Indicates the requirement type of the part.

Ø              Select the “View Preferred Serial # / Lot # Information” link to view the preferred serial number and lot number details.

Viewing preferred serial and lot number information for execution reference

You can view the preferred serial and lot number details including stock status, warehouse, condition and expiry date of the part that is requested against a execution reference.

Line #

Use the drop-down list box to specify the line number generated corresponding to each requested part. The system lists all the line numbers generated for the parts.

Ø              Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the preferred serial and lot number details of the requested part corresponding to the selected line number.

The system displays the following in the “Work Unit Details” multiline:

Requested Part #

The part, for which the preferred serial number and lot number details are retrieved.

Stock Status

The stock status of the part.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Warehouse #

Attachment Status

The attachment status of the position code with respect to the part. The attachment status could be one of the following:

§          “Unknown” – Indicates that the part number and serial number of the part that is attached or removed with respect to the position code, are not available.

§          “Error” – Indicates the attachment or removal of incorrect component with respect to the position code.

ATA #

The ATA chapter applicable to the component id.

Removed Part #

The number identifying the part to be removed.

Removed Serial #

The serial number of the part to be removed.

Removed Condition

The condition of the outgoing component, which could be “Serviceable” or “Unserviceable”.

Cannibalization – Indicates that the installed component is taken from some other aircraft.

Loans – Indicates that the installed component is taken on loan from other operators.

Pooling – Indicates that the installed component is taken from the common repository.

Confirmed Failure?

Indicates whether the removed part is of confirmed failure or not.

Installed Part #

The part number to be installed in place of the part specified in the “Outgoing Part #” field.

Installed Serial #

The serial number of the installed part.

Source

The replacement type of the incoming component. The system displays one of the following:

Replace  – Indicates that the installed component replaces the outgoing component in the aircraft.

Cannibalize – Indicates that the  installed component is taken from ex-aircraft to replace the outgoing component..

Attach – Indicates that the installed component is attached to the aircraft in an empty position.

Remove – Indicates that a component already attached to the aircraft is just removed.

Swap – Indicates that the removed component and the installed component are swapped between the current aircraft and the ex-aircraft. 

 

Record Mode

The mode in which the component replacement is recorded. The record mode can be “New” or “With Error”.

Remarks

Any additional remarks about the replacement.

Reason #

The code identifying the reason for the component being replaced.

The unique number denoting the component replacement that is generated by the system.

The status of the component replacement, which could be “Replaced” or “Removed”.

This page allows you to view the reference information for the technical log. The technical log might involve referencing documents, manuals, drawings, etc. These details are recorded as the reference information in the “Edit Reference” page. You can view the document type, the reference document number, and the file name of the document.

Viewing fuel or oil log – An overview

In this page you can view the fuel and oil details for the technical log. Fuel details, such as the fuel type, the name of the fuel supplier, the amount of fuel on arrival, amount of fuel consumed when the aircraft is grounded, amount of fuel before uplifting, fuel uplifted, in the aircraft and the amount of fuel in the aircraft at the time of departure can be viewed.

Auxiliary power units (APU) are engine-driven generators contained in the aircraft (usually in the tail) that provide the aircraft with necessary power, during the time when the aircraft is at the gate. You can view the APU cycle and the number of hours the APU was in operation.

The hydraulic oil consumed by the hydraulic systems in the aircraft can be viewed. You can also view the position code of type “Engine” or “APU”, the amount of oil on arrival, uplifted oil and the amount of oil at the time of departure.

The code identifying the primary skill of the employee.

Employee #

The code identifying the employee who signed the task or subtask that is performed as part of the technical log.

Employee Name

The name of the employee.

License #

The license number of the employee.

Remarks

The remarks pertaining to the issue of CoM.

The system displays the following fields in the “Key Person Details” group box:

Employee #

The code identifying the employee who created / modified / authorized / cancelled the CoM for the selected technical log.

Name

The name of the employee.

Primary Skill #

The code identifying the primary skill of the employee.

License #

The license number of the employee.

Remarks

Any remarks or comments pertaining to the issue of CoM.

Date & Time

The date and time, in the specified format, pertaining to the creation / modification / authorization / cancellation of the CoM.

Ø              Enter the “Document Attachment Details” group box:

File Name

The name of the file attached.

Ø              Click the “View File” link displayed alongside to view the file details.

Any other comments pertaining to the certificate of maintenance.

The name of the user who created the CoM.

Created Date

The date on which the CoM is created.

Last Modified by

The name of the user who last modified the CoM details.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the CoM is last modified.

Authorized By

The name of the user who authorized the CoM.

Authorized Date

The date on which CoM is authorized.
