Entering additional information for technical log
You can specify additional information like document attachment details, inspector / mechanic details, outgoing flight details and details pertaining to additional work performed.
Select the “Additional Information” tab in the main page.
Enter the following field in the “Document Attachment Details” group box:
File Name |
The name of the file that is associated to the technical log and is used for reference (Alphanumeric, 50). Mandatory. Help facility available. |
Select the “View File” link provided alongside, to view the file details.
Enter the following fields in the “Mechanic Details” group box:
Lead Mechanic # |
The code identifying the mechanic in the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 20). The mechanic code must have already been defined in the “Employee Information“ business component and must be in “Active” status. Help facility available. |
Note: If the “Validate for employee presence as per ARS” option is set to “Yes” in the “Set Options” activity, the system checks whether the employee was present during the reporting date and time at the specified execution station.
The system displays the following field:
Lead Mechanic Name |
The name of the mechanic (Alphanumeric, 77). Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following fields in the “Mechanic Details” group box:
License # |
The license number of the mechanic (Alphanumeric, 25). The license number must have already been defined in the “Employee Information” business component and must not be in the “Revoked” or “Suspended” status. |
Comments |
Any remarks or comments pertaining to the technical log (Alphanumeric, 255). You can enter any general details that are not specified in any of the above fields. Zoom facility available. |
Note: If you have not specified the mechanic number but have specified a license number, the system displays the employee code mapped to the license number (defined in the “Employee Information” business component) in the “Mechanic #” field.
Enter the following fields in the “Inspector Details” group box:
Lead Inspector # |
The code identifying the inspector (Alphanumeric, 20). The inspector code must have already been defined in the “Employee Information“ business component and must be in “Active” status. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following field:
Lead Inspector Name |
The name of the inspector (Alphanumeric, 77). |
Enter the following details in the “Inspector Details” group box:
License # |
The license number of the inspector (Alphanumeric, 15). |
Comments |
Any remarks or comments pertaining to the technical log (Alphanumeric, 255). You can enter any general details that are not specified in any of the above fields. Zoom facility available. |
Note: If you have not specified the inspector number but have specified a license number, the system displays the employee code mapped to the license number (defined in the “Employee Information” business component) in the “Inspector #” field.
Enter the following fields in the “Outgoing Flight Details” group box:
Sch. Dep. Date & Time |
The date and time of flight departure (Date and Time Format). Mandatory. Ensure that the date is in the format specified in the “Date & Time Format” field. |
To Station |
Use the drop-down list box to select the destination station of the flight. The system lists all the “Active” stations defined in the “Create Station” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system leaves this field blank. |
Day’s First Flight ? |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes”, if the outgoing flight is the first flight for the day. Select “No” otherwise. The system sets this field to “No” by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “User Defined Details” group box:
Technical Log Detail 1 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify additional detail related to the technical log. The system lists all active values defined in the “Flight Log attributes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system leaves this field blank. |
User Defined Detail 1 |
Any other additional details pertaining to the technical log (Alphanumeric, 25). |
Technical Log Detail 2 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify additional detail related to the technical log. The system lists all active values defined in the “Flight Log attributes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system leaves this field blank. |
User Defined Detail 2 |
Any other additional details pertaining to the technical log (Alphanumeric, 25). |
Technical Log Detail 3 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify additional detail related to the technical log. The system lists all active values defined in the “Flight Log attributes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system leaves this field blank. |
User Defined Detail 3 |
Any other additional details pertaining to the technical log (Alphanumeric, 25). |
The system displays the following field in the “Additional Work Details” group box:
Pilot Special Report |
Any observations reported by the pilot. Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following field:
Additional Work Performed |
The details of additional work performed on maintenance report (Alphanumeric, 4000). Zoom facility available. |
Click the “Create Log” pushbutton in the main page, to create the technical log with additional information.
Click the “Confirm Tech Log” pushbutton in the main page, to confirm the technical log.
Click the “Cancel Tech Log” pushbutton in the main page, to cancel the technical log.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Discrepancy Details” tab in the “Create Technical Log” page if you wish to enter discrepancy details associated to the technical log.
