Create Flight Code – A summary of the activity
Flight code is a unique identifier of the journey between two stations. The flight code is a combination of flight number and/or leg number, along with the flight attributes like departure station/gate, arrival station/gate, standard departure time, standard arrival time, estimated travel duration and planning region.
If only some of the model(s) of the aircraft can fly in certain flight routes, then you can define model level effectivity for a flight code as an additional optional attribute. You can also define alternate destination(s) as optional attribute of flight code.
The flight codes are logically juxtaposed in order to make a Flight Assignment. It generally identifies the all day route for an aircraft. The details of the flight code such as flight number, leg number, standard departure time, standard arrival time, alternate station are used in defining aircraft route and in identifying a scheduled flight event for Journey log and Technical Log.
