Viewing deferral report
This page displays the deferral details for the maintenance report. Deferral details include the time based schedules as well as the usage based schedules defined for the discrepancies in the maintenance report.
Select the “View Deferral Report” link in the “View Maintenance Report Information” page.
The “View Deferral Report” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Maint. Report Details” group box:
Maint. Report # |
The number of the maintenance report that has been raised for the aircraft. |
Applicability |
Indicates whether the maintenance report is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”. |
Maint. Report Class |
The class to which the maintenance report belongs. |
Maint. Report Description |
The textual description of the maintenance report. |
Record Status |
The status of the discrepancy or maintenance report, which can be “Fresh” or “Pending”. |
Processing Status |
The processing status of the discrepancy, which can be “None”, “Under Analysis” and “Analyzed”. |
Tracking Status |
The user-defined tracking status defined for the discrepancy. |
Revision Count |
The number of times the discrepancy or maintenance report has been deferred. |
Created at Org. Unit |
The organization unit where the maintenance report was created. |
Click the hyperlinked maintenance report number to view the maintenance report information.
The system displays the following fields in the “Maint. Object Details” group box:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft against which the maintenance report has been raised. |
Aircraft Model # |
The model number of the aircraft against which the maintenance report has been raised. |
Component # |
The component number against which the discrepancy has been reported. |
Part Serial # |
The serial number of the part for which a discrepancy has been reported. |
Part # |
The part number for which a discrepancy has been reported. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Deferral Details” group box:
Deferral Type |
The deferral type of the discrepancy, which can be “MEL”, “CDL” or “Others”. |
Reason for Deferral |
The reason for deferring the discrepancy. |
Deferral Limit Type |
The deferral limit type of the discrepancy, which can be “Usage Limited”, “Calendar Limited”, “Usage or Calendar Limited”. |
Deferral Limit Basis |
The deferral limit basis of the discrepancy, which can be “Whichever is earlier” or “Whichever is later”. |
Deferral Item # |
The deferral item number against which the discrepancy was reported. |
Limit Control |
The limit control of the discrepancy, which can be “Hard” or “Suggested”. |
Deferral Item Description |
The textual description of the deferral item against which the discrepancy was reported. |
Deferral Item Category |
The category to which the deferral item belongs. |
Deferral Authorization # |
The authorization number given for the deferral. |
Maintenance Event |
The maintenance event of the discrepancy. |
Deferral Comments |
Additional comments about the deferral, if any. |
Click the hyperlinked deferral item category to view the minimum equipment list (MEL) category details.
Click the hyperlinked deferral item number to view the minimum equipment list/configuration deviation list (MEL/CDL) item details.
The system displays the following fields in the “Time Based Deferral Limits” multiline:
Deferral Duration Limit |
The maximum time limit until which the discrepancy can be deferred. This limit is defined for the deferral category that is defined for the deferral item number. |
Note: The deferral duration limit is defined for the deferral category in the “Configuration” business component.
Deferral Duration |
The date until which the discrepancy has been actually deferred. |
Threshold Date |
The maximum date by which the discrepancy must be processed. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Usage Based Deferral Limits” multiline:
Note: The system retrieves all the consumption parameters, the corresponding UOM details and the deferral limit details, if any, associated with the component in the multiline, based on the option selected for the parameter (HHMM or Decimal Format) in the Aircraft business component while parameter creation.
Parameter |
The parameters defined for the aircraft in the “Aircraft” business component. |
Parameter Type |
The type to which the parameter belongs. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement defined for the parameter. |
Reference Value |
The reference flight hours of the aircraft. The earliest created date of the discrepancies that is associated with the MR. Based on this value, the threshold date and threshold value are calculated. The value entered here must be positive. |
Deferral Limit |
The maximum limit until which the discrepancy can be deferred, and the reference value. |
Deferral Value |
The value until which the discrepancy has been deferred. |
Threshold Value |
The maximum limit until which the discrepancy can be deferred. This value is a sum of the “Reference value” and “Deferral Limit”. |
Parameter Description |
The textual description of the parameter. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the deferral report. |
Created Date |
The date on which the deferral report was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who modified the deferral report. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the deferral report was last modified. |
Select the “View Deferral Revision History” link to view the revision history of the deferrals.
