Basics of using a typical web page

This page allows you to specify a search ID and edit the user-defined search criteria.

The “Edit Advance Search Criteria” page appears.

The system displays the following fields:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Search ID

The unique search ID that you have selected in the previous page.

Discrepancy Type

Use the drop-down list box to modify the discrepancy type. The system lists the following options:

  • “PIREP” –Select this option to retrieve all the discrepancies that have been reported by the pilot in the “Journey Log” activity.

  • “MIREP” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies reported by the mechanic in the different work orders.

  • Cabin” - Select this option to retrieve the discrepancies reported by the cabin crew and Flight Attendants.

  • “Non-Routine” - Select this option to retrieve the non-routine discrepancies reported by the mechanics at the time of the execution.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the type.

Discrepancy Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the discrepancy category. The system displays all values defined in the “Maintain Discrepancy Attributes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. The system retrieves all the discrepancies that belong to the category selected here.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the category.

Maint. Report Class

Use the drop-down list box to specify the class to which the maintenance report belongs. The system displays all the active codes that are defined under the “Maint. Report class” attribute in the “Maintain Discrepancy Attribute” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. The system retrieves all maintenance reports that belong to the class specified here.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all maintenance reports, irrespective of the class.

Maint. Report Description

The textual description of the maintenance report (Alphanumeric, 255). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports with description similar to the value entered here.

Tracking Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined tracking status defined for the discrepancy. The system lists all tracking statuses defined under the “Tracking Status” attribute in the “Maintain Discrepancy Attributes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the tracking status.

Caused Delay?

Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes” to retrieve discrepancies that have caused a delay in the flight. Select “No” to retrieve discrepancies that have not caused a delay in the flight.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the delay factor.

Cause #

The number identifying the cause code, which has been associated to the maintenance report (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports to which the specified cause code has been associated.

Fault #

The fault code defined in the “Fault Isolation Manual” business component that is applicable to the discrepancy being reported (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports that refer to the specified fault code.

Aircraft Model #

The registration number of the aircraft against which the maintenance report has been raised (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance reports for the aircraft with registration number similar to the value entered here.

Component #

The component number for which a discrepancy has been reported (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies that have been reported for the component specified here.

Part Description

The textual description of the part for which discrepancies have been reported (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies raised for the part specified here.

Include child objects?

Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes” to also retrieve discrepancies reported on the parts related to the component. Select “No” to retrieve only those discrepancies reported on the specified component. This field is set to “No” by default.

Reporting Station

Use the drop-down list box to select the station where the discrepancies were reported. The system lists all the active station numbers defined in the “Common Masters” business component. The system retrieves all the discrepancies raised at the station specified here.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the reporting station.

Reporting at Org. Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit where the discrepancies were reported. The system retrieves all the discrepancies raised in the organizational unit specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the organization unit where they were reported.

Priority #

Use the drop-down list box to select the priority assigned to the discrepancy or maintenance report. The system lists all the values defined in the “Common Master” business component and which are in “Active” status. The system retrieves all discrepancies of the specified priority.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the priority.

Limit Control

Use the drop-down list box to specify the limit control. The system displays the following options:

  • “Suggested” –Select this option to retrieve discrepancies which can be further postponed by a superior.

  • “Hard” – Select this option to retrieve discrepancies that have to be resolved within the specified time limit.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the limit control.

Maintenance Event

Use the drop-down list box to specify the maintenance event defined for the discrepancy. The system lists all the codes defined for the “Maintenance Event” attribute in the “Common Master” business component. The system retrieves all discrepancies with the maintenance event selected here.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the maintenance event.

Deferred at Org. Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit where the discrepancies have been deferred. The system retrieves all discrepancies that were deferred in the organizational unit specified here.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the organization unit where they were deferred.

Deferred Date: From

The starting date of the date range during which discrepancies were deferred (Date format). The system retrieves all the discrepancies that were deferred after this date.

Deferred Date: To

The ending date of the date range during which discrepancies were deferred (Date format). The system retrieves all the discrepancies that were deferred before this date.

Remaining FH

The remaining flight hours available for the aircraft (Decimal). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all discrepancies reported for the aircraft whose remaining flight hours match the value entered here.

Remaining FC

The remaining flight cycles available for the aircraft (Decimal). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all discrepancies reported for the aircraft whose remaining flight cycles match the value entered here.

Remaining Days

The number of days within which the discrepancy must be resolved (Decimal). The system adds this value to the current date and retrieves all those discrepancies that have to be resolved within the calculated date. For example, if you have specified ‘3’ in this field and the current date is June 20, then the system adds ‘3’ to the current date, to arrive at June 23. The system then retrieves all the discrepancies that have to be resolved by the 23rd of June.

Analyzed at Org. Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit where the discrepancies have been analyzed. The system retrieves all discrepancies that were analyzed in the organizational unit specified here.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all discrepancies, irrespective of the organization unit in which they were analyzed.

Analyzed Date: From

The starting date of the date range during which discrepancies were analyzed (Date format). The system retrieves all discrepancies that were analyzed after this date.

Analyzed Date: To

The ending date of the date range during which discrepancies were analyzed (Date format). The system retrieves all discrepancies that were analyzed before this date.

Note: The system retrieves all the consumption parameters, the corresponding UOM details and the deferral limit details, if any, based on the option selected for the parameter (HHMM or Decimal Format) in the Aircraft business component while parameter creation.
