Selecting customer group for viewing
In this page, you can select a customer group for viewing the details. You can enter the customer group code directly or carry out a search based on controlled group option, status, group type code, group type description, customer group number, customer group description, customer and customer name. The system retrieves customer group details according to the search criteria specified.
Select the “View Customer Group” link under the “Customer” business component.
The “Select Customer Group” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the customer group code to be viewed:
Customer Group # |
The identifier of the customer group for which the details must be displayed (Alphanumeric, 6). |
Select the “View Customer Group” link displayed alongside to view the details of the customer group.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a customer group. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Controlled Group |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the customer group is a controlled group or user-defined group. The system lists the options “Yes” and “No”. The system retrieves all customer groups according to the option selected. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the customer group. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve customer groups irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Group Type Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the group type to which the customer belongs. If you have selected “Yes” in the “Controlled Group” field,

Group Type Desc. |
The textual description of the customer group (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the group type description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all customer groups whose group type descriptions match the description entered here. |
Customer Group # |
The identifier of the customer group to be edited (Alphanumeric, 6). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all customer groups whose numbers are similar to the number specified here. |
Customer Group Desc. |
The textual description of the customer group (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer group description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all customer groups whose descriptions match the description entered here. |
Customer # |
The code identifying the customer associated with the customer group (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the customer groups with the customer numbers entered here. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the customer groups with the customer name entered here. |
Note: If all the fields in the search criteria are left blank, the system retrieves all customer groups created in the login organizational unit.
Click the “Search” button to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria provided:

The textual description of the customer group |
Group Type Code |
The code identifying the group type to which the customer group belongs |
Group Type Desc. |
The textual description of the customer group type |
Controlled Group |
Indicates whether the customer group is a controlled group or user-defined group |
Status |
The status of the customer group, which could be “Active” or “Inactive” |
Customer Count |
The total number of customers associated with the customer group |
