Entering customer component details
This page allows you to identify the parts of a customer for which the maintenance service must be provided. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Customer Component Details” link at the bottom of the “Select Customer” page.
The “Edit Customer Component Information” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Customer Details” group box:
Customer # |
The code identifying the customer for which the part details must be entered. The operational status of the customer must be “Active”. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer |
Enter the following fields in the “Part Details” multiline:
Component # |
The number identifying the component (Alphanumeric, 90). Mandatory. Ensure that this component number is already defined in the “Aircraft” business component. Help facility available |
Note: Ensure that the component entered here has ownership set as customer, with the owning agency number specified in the “Aircraft: business component, same as the customer number displayed in the header.
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:
Part #

The number identifying the part to which the component belongs. |
Manufacturer Serial # |
The manufacturer serial number of the part. |
Part Serial # |
The serial number assigned to the part |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part |
Component Type |
The type to which the component belongs |
Part Classification |
The classification of the part |
Engagement Type |
The type of engagement provided to the customer regarding the part, which could be “Full Maintenance” or “On Request”. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the part for entering certificate requirement details.
Click the “Edit Part Details” pushbutton to update the part details for the customer.
Note: You cannot modify the part number for an existing record.
To proceed carry out the following:
Select the “Edit Component Certificate Details” link at the bottom of the page to define the certificate requirement details for the selected part.
Select the “Create Component Record” link at the bottom of the page to enter the customer component record.

This page allows you to identify the parts of a customer for which the maintenance service must be provided. For a part you can enter the component number, part number and the type of engagement provided by the service provider.
