Defining spare part position information for component configuration – An overview

Build Component Configuration - A summary of the activity

In this page, you can create or modify the position code details of the spare parts identified for the component. The position codes can be created manually or generated by the system. For trackable spare parts, the system generates the position codes using the prefix that you have specified and the suffix as numbers starting from 1. For example, if you have specified the prefix as “BRG” and the quantity of spare parts as “3”, the system generates the position codes BRG01, BRG02 and BRG03. For non-trackable spare parts, you can enter the position codes manually and modify them whenever needed.

You can modify the quantity of the spare part required for the model configuration and add or modify the position codes for the spare parts and also modify the status of the position code. You can enter the serial number and the lot number of the spare part and the date on which the spare part is attached to the position code in the component configuration. You can specify the default lot number, if all the spare part serial numbers belong to the same lot.
