Viewing deferred items – An overview

The work unit can be deferred due to various reasons such as resource constraints, flying schedules of an aircraft or workload of an execution center in the “Create Deferment Request” activity. You can view those deferred work unit details in this page.

You can also view the deferred maintenance reports that are associated to the visit package in this page. Deferred maintenance reports are created when the rectification may not be carried out as and when the discrepancies are identified and the mechanic may defer the maintenance work on faulty part due to reasons such as non-availability of spares, under equipped maintenance station, or to save operation time. Those deferred maintenance reports are associated to the visit package for processing in the “Process Deferred Discrepancies” page.

In this page, you can specify whether the deferment details are to be viewed for the work units or discrepancy and based on the deferment type selected the system retrieves the deferment request or maintenance report details. You can also view the work units and part details associated to the deferment request number or maintenance report.
