Viewing escalation limits of a work unit in a planned visit package
This page allows you to view the escalation limits for a work unit. You can view the time-based as well as the usage-based escalation values for the work unit.
Select the “View Escalation Limit Details” link in the “View Deferment Request Details” page.
The “View Escalation Limits” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default |
The system displays the following in the “Deferment Request Details” multiline:

The number identifying the deferment request |
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft |
Work Unit # |
The work unit selected in the previous page |
Job Type |
The job type of the work unit, such as “Component Removal”, “Aircraft” and “On-Wing”. |
Maintenance Type |
The type of the maintenance work, such as ”Overhaul”, ”Repair”, “Inspection” and ”Others” |
Component # |
The code identifying the component on which the maintenance is performed |
Position Code |
The code identifying the position of the part |
Part # |
The part number of the component on which the maintenance activity is performed |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component on which the maintenance activity is performed |
Schedule Date |
The date on which the work unit is scheduled to be executed, on the component or aircraft |
Latest Schedule Date |
The date beyond which the maintenance activity for the aircraft or component cannot be postponed |
The system displays the following in the “Escalation Limit – Time Based” group box:
Note: The system displays the parameter value in the “Schedule Value”, “Alert Value” and Deferred By” fields, based on the Time Display Format selected against the parameter in the “Aircraft” business component. For example, if the “Time Display Format” is selected as “HHMM” and if the stored value is 2.50, then the system automatically converts the value from 2.50 to 2.30 and displays the value as 2.30.
Deferred By (Days) |
The number of days by which the work unit is escalated |
Alert Value (Days) |
The value, in days, in which the alert is set, to indicate when the work unit has to be performed |
Deferred Till Date |
The date till which the work unit is escalated. The system displays the earliest date of the time-based or usage-based schedule. |
The system displays the following in the “Escalation Limit – Parameter Based” multiline:
Parameter |
The parameter, such as flight hours, flight cycles and engine hours, for which the escalation limits are displayed |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the parameter value |
Schedule Value |
The parameter value at which the work unit must be executed. |
Alert Value |
The alert value of the parameter |
Deferred By |
The value by which the alert value of the parameter is escalated |
