Display Option

Use the drop-down list box to select the display option for the discrepancies in the “Discrepancy Details” multiline. The system displays “All Discrepancies” and “Open Discrepancies”. In the drop-down list Select,

  • "All Discrepancies", to retrieve all discrepancies reported against the aircraft/component/part/serial regardless of their status.

  • "Open Discrepancies”, to retrieve all discrepancies with any one of the following status: "Fresh", "Planned",  "Pending", "Under Resolution" or "Deferred" status.

By default, this parameter displays Open Discrepancies.

Maint. Object

Use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance object related to the discrepancy.  The drop-down list box displays the following, Aircraft Reg. #, Component # and Part #/Serial #.

Specify the short name/description of the maintenance object in the field alongside. You can enter the name of the maintenance object in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

The system retrieves discrepancies against the aircraft, component or part/serial you specify here. For example, to retrieve all yet-to-be closed discrepancies against the aircraft AC123, you must select “Open Discrepancies” as the Display Option, Aircraft Ref # as the Maint. Object and type AC123 for the aircraft reg. #.

Record Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the record status of the discrepancy, which can be one of the following:

  • “Fresh”, if the document where the discrepancy is recorded is yet to be confirmed.

  • “Pending”, if the document where the discrepancy is recorded has been confirmed.

  • “Pending Deferral”, if the discrepancy has not been confirmed.

  • “Under Resolution”, if the discrepancy is included in a resolution document such as a AME Ref  # or Work Order.

  • “Deferred”, if the discrepancy is deferred and confirmed.

  • “Retired”, if the discrepancy  is retired.

  • “Transferred”, if the discrepancy is transferred to another component.

  • “Planned”, if a planning document for the maintenance report associated with the discrepancy is created, such as Visit Package or Line Package i.e. in other words, when the resolution procedure is planned.

  • “No Fault Found”, if the Action defined for the discrepancy is “No Fault Found”.

  • “Cancelled”, if the discrepancy is cancelled.

  • “Closed”, if the discrepancy is resolved and closed.

The system retrieves all the discrepancies with the record status you select here.

Leave this field blank to retrieve all the discrepancies, irrespective of the record status.

Discrepancy Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the discrepancy. Select,

  • PIREP, to retrieve discrepancies reported by the pilot.

  • MIREP, to retrieve discrepancies reported by the mechanic.

  • Cabin, to retrieve discrepancies reported by cabin crew and flight attendants.

  • Non-Routine, to retrieve any other non-routine discrepancies reported by the mechanics at the time of execution.

The system retrieves all discrepancies of the type you specify here. However to retrieve all types of discrepancies, leave this field blank.

Discrepancy Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the discrepancy. The system displays all the quick codes defined under the quick code type Discrepancy Category, which hold an “Active” status.

The system retrieves all the discrepancies that belong to the category you select here.

ATA #

The ATA chapter against which discrepancies have been reported (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies reported for the ATA chapter entered here.

Log Item #

The log leaf number of the discrepancy in the reference document, such as AME Ref # (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies recorded in the log item you specify here.

Deferral Type/Item #

Use the drop-down list box to specify the deferral type/item # of the discrepancy. The drop-down list box displays the following:

  • CDL

  • DMI

  • All deferral types defined in Configure Document Attributes of the Common Masters component, which have the Attribute Flag set to "Yes".

The system retrieves all discrepancies of the deferral type/ with the item # you specify.

Discrepancy #

The code identifying the discrepancy. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the discrepancies having discrepancy number similar to the number entered here.
