This page enables you to allocate aircraft to a maintenance base. Tell me more.

The “Allocate Aircraft to Maintenance Base” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are to be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). The system retrieves the aircraft associated to the registration number specified here. Leave this field blank to search for the aircraft, irrespective of the registration number.

Alternately, you can enter Nose # in the field. The smart search retrieves aircraft with the nose # similar to that specified in the field.

Manufacturer Serial #

The serial number issued by the manufacturer of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the serial number in full or specify partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the aircraft associated to the manufacturer serial number specified here. Leave this field blank to search for the aircraft irrespective of the manufacturer serial number.

Maintenance Base

The maintenance base to which the aircraft is allocated (Alphanumeric, 30).  You can enter the name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the aircraft associated to the maintenance base specified here. Leave this field blank to search for the aircraft irrespective of the maintenance base.

Call Sign

An identifier assigned to a group of aircraft in the maintenance base (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the identifier in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the aircraft associated to the call sign entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the aircraft irrespective of the call sign.

Allocation Date

The date on which the aircraft is allocated to the maintenance base (Date Format).  The system retrieves all the aircraft and the details of the maintenance bases to which the aircraft is allocated on or before the allocation date specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the aircraft irrespective of the allocation date. The system displays the current server date by default.

Operational Location

The location where the maintenance base is situated (Alphanumeric, 30). The system retrieves the aircraft associated to the operational location specified here. Leave this field blank to search for the aircraft irrespective of the operational location.

Contract #

The number identifying the contract with the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the contract number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the aircraft associated to the contract number specified here. Leave this field blank to search for the aircraft irrespective of the contract number.

Customer #

The customer for whom the aircraft is flying (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the aircraft associated to the customer number specified here. Leave this field blank to search for the aircraft irrespective of the customer number.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft to be allocated to the maintenance base (Alphanumeric, 30).  Ensure that the value entered is a valid registration number as defined in the “Aircraft” business component, and is in “Active” status.

Note: You cannot modify the aircraft registration number that is already retrieved in the multiline.

Manufacturer Serial #

The serial number issued by the manufacturer of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). Ensure that the manufacturer serial number is valid for the aircraft registration number specified.

Maintenance Base

The maintenance base to which the aircraft must be allocated (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the maintenance base entered is a valid work center as identified in the “Work Center” business component, and is in Active status.

Exe. Org. Unit #

Use the drop-down list box to select the execution organization unit to which the aircraft is associated. The system lists all the organization units for which the planning is done by the current "Compliance Tracking & Control"  business component. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Start Date

The starting date in the date range, for which the aircraft is to be maintained in the maintenance base (Date Format). Mandatory. The start date can be earlier or later than the current server date.

End Date

The ending date in the date range, for which the aircraft is to be maintained in the maintenance base (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered is not earlier than the “Start Date”.

Note: You can leave this field blank if you do not wish to specify any end date for the allocation.

If you leave this field blank and if there are no other succeeding allocations for the same aircraft, the system considers the end date as blank.

If you leave this field blank and if there are succeeding allocations for the same aircraft, the system updates the end date as the day previous to the start date of the next allocation.

Ensure that the start and end dates entered for the same aircraft, do not get overlapped. For example, if an aircraft is allocated to a maintenance base for the date range 1/1/ 2003 to 10/10/2003, then the same aircraft cannot be allocated to another maintenance base for the date range 1/10/2003 to 1/10/2004.

Call Sign

The identifier assigned to the group to which the aircraft belongs, in the maintenance base (Alphanumeric, 20).

Contract #

The number identifying the contract (Alphanumeric, 40).

Customer #

The customer for whom the aircraft is flying (Alphanumeric, 45).

Operational Location

The location or the operation where the aircraft is flying currently (Alphanumeric, 30).
