Modifying advanced search criteria to search for work units
This option allows you to modify the advanced filter criteria defined in the “Set Advanced Search Criteria Details” page. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Advanced Search Criteria” link in the “Select Work Unit for Opportunity Maintenance” or in the “Work Unit Selection” page.
The “Edit Advanced Search Criteria Details” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Adv. Search ID |
The code identifying the advance search criteria for retrieving work units. The system displays the search ID selected in the “Work Unit Selection” page. |
Modify the following fields in the “Advanced Search Criteria” group box, if you wish to edit the search criteria:
Remaining FH <= |
The flight hours remaining before the forecasted arising of the pending work units (Decimal). Ensure that this is a positive value. The system retrieves all the work units whose scheduled value lies in the range of values specified here. |
Note: Remaining FH = Scheduled Value – Current Value.
Remaining FC <= |
The flight cycles remaining before the forecasted arising of the pending work units (Decimal). Ensure that this is a positive value. The system retrieves all the work units whose scheduled value lies in the range of values specified here. |

ATA # |
The code that identifies the system in the aircraft in which the maintenance activity is performed (Alphanumeric, 16). Ensure that the ATA chapter is already defined in the “Create ATA Chapter” activity of the “Aircraft” business component and is in the “Active” status. The system retrieves all the work units associated with the ATA number specified here. |
Zone # |
The code identifying the zone in the aircraft where the maintenance activity must be performed (Alphanumeric, 15). Ensure that the zone is already defined in the “Create Zones” activity of the “Aircraft” business component and is in the “Active” status. The system retrieves all the work units associated with the zone number specified here. |
Component Family # |
The number identifying the component family (Alphanumeric, 25). The system retrieves all the work units associated with the component family number specified here |
Part # |
The part number of the component (Alphanumeric, 40). The system retrieves all the work units associated with the part number specified here |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component (Alphanumeric, 40). The system retrieves all the work units associated with the serial number specified here. |
Work Unit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work unit. The system provides the options, “Task”, “Standard Procedure” and “Work Package”. The system retrieves all the work units associated with the type of work unit specified here. |
Position Code |
The code that identifies the position in the part on which the maintenance activity must be performed (Alphanumeric, 25). The system retrieves all the work units associated with the position code specified here. |
MCR Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the Maintenance Change Request (MCR) document. The system lists all the MCR document types defined in the “Create MCR Document Type” activity of the “Common Master” business component. The system retrieves all the work units associated with the type of MCR document specified here. |
Position Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the position code. The system lists the options, "Engine", "APU", “Landing Gears” and “Others”. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Edit” pushbutton, to update the modified filter criteria.
The system stores the modified search criteria for the selected search ID.
Modifying advanced search criteria to search for work units – An overview
This option allows you to modify the advanced filter criteria defined in the “Set Advanced Search Criteria Details” page. The “Edit Advanced Search Criteria Details” page helps you to modify the filter criteria such as remaining flight hours, remaining flying cycles, ATA number, zone number, component family number, part number, serial number, work unit type, position type, MCR document type and position code.

You can modify the details of the search criteria for a given ID. These search criteria can be used to search for work units.
Enter the advanced search criteria in the respective fields.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton, to modify the advance search criteria.
