Computation of NSD/NSV of task with short term escalation and Schedule Reset Basis = “Last Schedule”

Example: Date-based schedule

Task

Last Performed Date & Time

Repeat Interval (Fixed/Floating)

Positive Tolerance

NSD

Latest NSD

(NSD + Positive Tolerance)

T1

10/01/2009

20 Days

5 Days

10/21/2009

10/26/2009

Let us assume a short term escalation created for T1 and the task is escalated by 15 days. Now as a result of this, the NSD of the task will be 11/05/2009. Assuming further, this task is complied on 11/04/2009, the system generates the following information.

Task

Last Performed Date & Time

Repeat Interval (Fixed/Floating)

Positive Tolerance

NSD

Latest NSD

(NSD + Positive Tolerance)

T1

11/04/2009

20 Days

5 Days

11/10/2009

11/15/2009

Example: Usage-based schedule

Task

Parameter

Repeat Interval (Fixed/Floating)

Positive Tolerance

NSV

Latest NSV

(NSV + Positive Tolerance)

T1

FH

500

150

50

650

700

Let us assume a short term escalation created for T1 and the task is escalated by 50 FH. Now as a result of this, the NSV of the task will be 750. Assuming further, this task is complied on 720, the system generates the following information.

Task

Parameter

Last Performed Value

Repeat Interval (Fixed/Floating)

Positive Tolerance

NSV

Latest NSV

(NSV + Positive Tolerance)

T1

FH

720

150

50

800

850

However, an exception to this would arise when a task with a short term escalation request was complied within positive tolerance limits. The system ignores the short term escalation request and computes the NSD/NSV on the basis of the last performed date / time, as explained previously.

Note: You cannot modify Last Performed Date, Next Schedule Date, Interval, Threshold, Last Schedule Value or Next Schedule Value, if there exists an open escalation for a task.
