Viewing resource load for a CWO

This page allows you to view the loading details of the selected resource. Tell me more.

Select the “View Resource Loading” link at the bottom of the “View Resource Assignments” page.

The “View Resource Loading” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The system displays the following details in the “Resource Details” group box:

Resource #

The resource for which the loading details are displayed.

Resource Type

The type of the resource, which could be “Equipment”, “Tools”, “Skill” or “Others”.

Resource Description

The textual description of the resource.

Enter the following fields:

Select Resource From

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center for which resource availability details have to be displayed. The system displays the following options:

All work centers – Select this option to retrieve resource details from all the work centers.

Current work center – Select this option to retrieve resource details from the work center in which the work order/task is going to be executed.

This field is set to “All work centers” by default.

From Date

The starting date from which you wish to view the loading details for the resource (Date Format).

To Date

The ending date until which you wish to view the loading details for the resource (Date Format).

Note: Ensure that the date entered in the “From Date” field is not later than the date entered in the “To Date” field.

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton.

The system retrieves in the multiline, the work centers to which the resource is associated and the utilisation of resource as a percentage for each day starting from the date entered in the “From Date” field till the date in the “To Date” field:

The system displays the following fields in the “Loading Details In Percentage” multiline:

Work Center #	The work center to which the resource is associated.
Day 1 … Day 15	The percentage of utilization of the resource on each day starting from the date specified in the “Assigned Date From” field till the date in the “Assigned Date To” field. The loading is calculated as follows:
	The number of hours for which the resource is available in the day, is ascertained based on the shift pattern and the attendance type.
	The total number of hours for which the resource is actually assigned to the work center is retrieved from the “Assign Resources” page in the “Plan Component Work Order” activity.
	The loading is then calculated using the following formula: Resource Loading = Assigned hours of the resource for CWO or CWO - task / Available Hours of the resource Productivity factor.* Productivity factor is the number that indicates the efficiency of the resource that is specified in the “Associate Work Center Attributes” activity of the “Work Center” business component. The productivity factor is assumed as 1 if it is not already specified for the resource.
Work Center Description	The textual description of the work center to which the resource is assigned.

Viewing resource load for a CWO – An overview

This page allows you to view the loading details of the selected resource from all the work centers or the work center in which the workorder or task is going to be executed. Resource loading refers to the utilization of the resource in a day during the execution of the CWO - task or the component work order. The loading is specified in percentage and calculated as follows:

For each resource, the number of hours for which the resource is available for the day (Available Hours) is calculated. component. This value is retrieved from the ‘Resource Calendar’ or “Maintain Time Unit Conversions” activity of “Common Master” business component.
The actual number of hours for which the resource is assigned (Assigned Hours) is retrieved from the “Assign Resources” page.
The resource loading is then calculated using the following formula:

Resource Loading = Assigned hours of the resource / Available Hours of the resource * Productivity factor.

Productivity factor is the number that indicates the efficiency of the resource that is specified in the “Associate Work Center Attributes” activity of the “Work Center” business component. The productivity factor is assumed as 1 if it is not already specified.

In this page, the resource loading details are calculated with respect to the work center to which the resource is assigned. You can enter the range of dates for which the loading details must be viewed. You can view the details only for 15 days at a time. The starting date that you specify in the date range is taken as Day 1 and loading details are displayed till the ending date or 15 days, whichever is earlier.

Enter the range of dates for which you wish to view the resource loading in the “From Date” and “To Date” fields.
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton.
