Help on source document number
This page allows you to retrieve the details of source documents relating to the component work order. You can carry out a search using the reference document number, part number, component number, primary work center number, ATA chapter number, source document type and organization unit number.
Details such as the source document number, source document type, revision number, applicability, status and organization unit number will be displayed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Source Document #” field in the main screen.
The “Help on source document number” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a source document. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Ref Document # |
The number identifying the reference document for which details have to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the details of all the source documents that have a reference to the document number entered here. |
Title |
The title of the source document (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the title in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the details of all the source documents that contain the title entered here. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the source document has been created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the details of all the source documents that are associated to the part number entered here. |
Component # |
The number identifying the component for which the source document has been created (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the details of all the source documents that are associated to the component number entered here. |
Primary Work Center # |
The number identifying the primary work center where the source document has been created (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the details of all the source documents that are associated to the work center entered here. |
ATA # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the ATA chapter to which the source document is attached (Alphanumeric, 16). By default, the system leaves this field blank. The system retrieves the details of source documents associated to the ATA chapter entered here. |
Source Document Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the source document. The system displays the options “EO” and “FCD”, and sets the field to “EO” by default. The system retrieves all the source documents that belong to the type selected here. |
Org. Unit # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit to which the source document belongs. This field defaults to the login organization unit. The system retrieves all the source documents that belong to the organization unit selected here. |
Click the "Search" pushbutton to display the search results.
Note: The system retrieves only those documents that are in the “Released” status.
The system displays the following fields in the "Search Results" multiline:
Source Document # |
The number assigned to the source document. |
Source Document Type |
The type of the source document, which can be “EO” or “FCD”. |
Source Doc. Revision # |
The revision number of the source document. |
Applicability |
Denotes whether the source document is applicable for an aircraft, component or an engine. |
Status |
The status of the source document. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter to which the source document is associated. |
Title |
The title of the source document. |
Component # |
The number identifying the component for which the source document has been created. |
Org. Unit # |
The organization unit for which the source document has been created. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the source document.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
