Help on Component Work Order – Task
This page allows you to retrieve the details of the tasks that are associated to the component work orders. You can carry out a search based on the CWO number, maintenance type of CWO, part number, component number, category of the CWO, work center, status of CWO, user-status of CWO, task category, job type, status of the task associated to the CWO, make / piece part number, work scope number , the start and end dates for CWO execution. Details such as CWO number, task number, maintenance type, part number, serial number, status of CWO, task status, work center, category of CWO, user-status, planned start and end dates, task description and CWO description, are displayed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Component Work Order – Task #” field in the main screen.
The “Help on Component Work Order – Task #” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a CWO - task. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Comp. Work Order # |
The number of the component work order for which the task details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the CWO number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Maintenance Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance type of the component work order. The system lists all the types defined as “Maintenance Type” in the “Common Master” business component. The system retrieves the CWO number of the maintenance type specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their maintenance types. By default, this field is left blank. |
Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers whose values are similar to the value entered here. |
Component # |
The number identifying the component against which the CWO is raised (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the component number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers whose values are similar to the value entered here. |
CWO Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the CWO category. The system lists all the active quick codes of type “CWO Category" defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the CWO number of the category specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their category. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center, which is responsible for the CWO execution. The system lists all the active work centers that are associated with the login organizational unit. The system retrieves the CWO number of the work center specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their work centers. By default, this field is left blank. |
CWO Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the CWO. The system lists the following options: |

User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the CWO. The system lists all the active quick codes of the type “User Status” defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the CWO number of the user status specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their user statuses. By default, this field is left blank. |
Task Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the task belongs. The system displays all quick codes of the type “Task Category” as defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component. The system retrieves all component work orders created for the task category specified here. |
Job Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the job type of the task. The system displays the following options: “Component”, “Receipt- Inspection”, “Facility”, “Piece Part”, “Make”, “Project” and “Miscellaneous”. The system retrieves all component work orders with the job type selected here. |
Task Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the task associated to the CWO. The system provides the options “Fresh”, “Authorized”, “Scheduled”, “Sch.& In Progress”, “In Progress” and “Completed”. The system retrieves component work orders with task status as specified here. The system displays “Sch. & In Progress” by default. |
Make/Piece Part # |
The number identifying the make part or piece part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves component work orders raised for make part or piece part number as specified here. |
Work Scope # |
The number identifying the work scope against which the component work order has been raised (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves component work orders raised for against the work scope number entered here. |
Planned Date: From |
The date on which the component work order execution must be started (Date Format). The system lists all the CWOs that have planned start dates on or after the date entered in this field. |
Planned Date: To |
The date on which the component work order execution must be completed (Date Format). The system lists all the CWOs that have planned end dates on or before the date entered in this field. |
Note: Ensure that the date entered in the “Planned Date: From” is not later than the date entered in the “Planned Date: To” field.
Note: If you leave all the fields blank, the system retrieves all the component work order – tasks created in the login organizational unit that are in the “Fresh”, ““Scheduled”, “In Progress”, or “Completed” status.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

The maintenance type of the component work order. |
Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component against which the component work order is raised. |
CWO Status |
The status of the component work order which could be either “Fresh” or “Scheduled” or “In Progress” or “Completed”. |
Status |
The status of the task associated to the component work order which could be “Fresh”,"Authorized", “Scheduled”, “In Progress” or “Completed”. |
Seq # |
The sequence that is employed for task execution. |
Work Center # |
The work center that is responsible for task execution. |
CWO Category |
The category of the component work order. |
User Status |
The user-defined status of the component work order. |
Planned Start Date |
The date on which the task must be started. |
Planned End Date |
The date on which the task must be completed. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task associated to the component work order. |
CWO Description |
The textual description of the component work order. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the component work order - task.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
