Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to retrieve the details of the component work orders that are already created. You can carry out a search based on the CWO number, maintenance type of CWO, part number, component number, category of the CWO, work center, status of CWO, user-status of CWO, and the start and end dates for CWO execution. Details such as the CWO number, maintenance type, part number, serial number, CWO description, status of CWO, work center, category of CWO, user-status, planned start and end dates are displayed.

The “Help on Component Work Order” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

Comp. Work Order #

The number of the component work order for which the details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the CWO number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Maintenance Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance type of the component work order to be retrieved. The system lists all the types defined as "Maintenance Type” in the “Common Master” business component. The system retrieves the CWO number of the maintenance type specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their maintenance types. By default, this field is left blank.

Part #

The part number to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers whose values are similar to the value entered here.

Component #

The number identifying the component against which the CWO is raised (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the component number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers whose values are similar to the value entered here.

CWO Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the CWO category. The system lists all the active quick codes of type “CWO Category” defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the CWO number of the CWO category specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWO(s) irrespective of their category.

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center, which is responsible for the CWO execution. The system lists all the active work centers that are associated to the login organizational unit. The system retrieves the CWO number of the work center specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWO(s) irrespective of their work centers. By default, this field is left blank.

CWO Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the CWO. The system lists the following options:

 
  • Fresh – Select this option to retrieve the details of a fresh CWO.

 
  • Scheduled – Select this option to retrieve the details of a scheduled CWO.

 
  • In Progress – Select this option to retrieve the details of the CWO that is in progress.

 

  • Completed - Select this option to retrieve the details of the CWO that is completed.

 

  • Closed – Select this option to retrieve the details of the CWO that is closed.

 

By default, this field is left blank.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the CWO. The system lists all the active quick codes of the type “User Status” defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the CWO number of the user status specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWO(s) irrespective of their user statuses. By default, this field is left blank.

Planned Date: From

The date on which the component work order execution must be started (Date Format). The system lists all the CWO(s) that have planned start dates on or after the date entered in this field.

Planned Date: To

The date on which the component work order execution must be completed (Date Format). The system lists all the CWOs that have planned end dates on or before the date entered in this field.

Job Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the job type of the component work order. The system displays the following options:

  • “Component” – Select this option if the work order is created on a part whose part type is “Component”.

  • “Receipt-Inspection” – Select this option if the work order is created for the inspection of incoming parts.

  • “Facility” – Select this option if the work order is created for maintenance of equipments or tools that are used for maintenance of parts.

  • “Piece Part” – Select this option if the work order is created on a part whose part type is non-component.

  • “Make” – Select this option if the work order is created for parts that are being fabricated at the work center.

  • “Project” – Select this option if the work order is created for specific projects.

  • “Miscellaneous” – Select this option if the work order is created for any other general work.

The system retrieves details of component work orders that belong to the selected job type. The system leaves this field blank by default.

Work Scope #

The number identifying the work scope against which the component work order is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the work scope number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers with work scope numbers entered here.

Customer #

The code identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component work orders with customer number entered here.

Customer Name

The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component work orders with the customer name entered here.

Note: Ensure that the date entered in the “Planned Date: From” is not later than the date entered in the “Planned Date: To” field.

If you have left all the fields blank, the system retrieves all the component work orders created in the login organizational unit that are in the “Fresh”, “Scheduled”, “In Progress”, or “Completed” status.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

Comp. Work Order #

The component work order number.

Maintenance Type

The maintenance type of the component work order.

Part #

The part number to which the component belongs.

Serial #

The serial number of the component against which the component work order is raised.

CWO Description

The textual description of the component work order.

CWO Status

The status of the component work order which could be either “Fresh”, “Scheduled”, “In Progress”, or “Completed” .

Work Center #

The work center that is responsible for CWO execution.

CWO Category

The category of the component work order.

User Status

The user-defined status of the component work order.

Planned Start Date

The date on which the component work order must be started.

Planned End Date

The date on which the component work order must be completed.

Job Type

The job type of the component work order, which can be “Component” “Receipt- Inspection”, “Facility”, “Piece Mart”, “Make”, “Project” or “Miscellaneous”.

Work Scope #

The number identifying the work scope against which the component work order is created.

Customer #

The number identifying the customer.

Customer Name

The name of the customer.
